You must be willing to put in the time to do well in the class. You are expected to be on the discussion multiple times a week. Not very difficult though, and an interesting class and topics he chooses. Tests were tough and questions not made by the teacher. He responded to emails quickly, but vague.

Class was good. Prof was helpful and knew his stuff. If you have even half a wit, you will do well in this course.

Nightmare. He is extremely picky when it comes to grading discussion boards. Quiz and test questions are not written by him but instead come from a test bank by the book's author. They ask silly detail-oriented trick questions. Save yourself some frustration and take it with someone else.

Good course. Lots of req reading but all response quiz and test info taken from the text. I used the concise version of the text and cited from it also. Easy A.

Professor: involved and dedicated to student success. Material: reading, videos, discussions, and a paper. I believe there was a study guide for most quizzes and for the midterm as well. I'd take another class with him for sure.

Because this is an 8 week class instead of 16 weeks, it is a lot of reading. Discussion boards due weekly, never had an issue being blocked out from posting on Sunday's before midnight. Two quizzes that you can preview, midterm and final that you can't preview. I enjoyed the class. The teacher was active on boards and handle any website issues.

This class was not necessarily hard, it was just a lot of work for an 8 week class. What I found most annoying was the teachers attitude. It was an online class and he was very confusing & the email responses back were very flippant and as though you were stupid. Be Careful! Sunday at Midnight for him means Saturday at 11:59 PM NO EXCEPTIONS!!

some diss this guy but i saw people link footnotes fr wiki on discussion boards w/o citing. morons. online is not a laydown, you have to read. moreover: you have to know how to write & spell. knows his history, i'd take another class of his. if you can defend your pt of view, he doesnt care about your politics. grow up, haters!

I really enjoyed this class. It is not an easy class. But, you can get an A if you do all the assignments and discussions. One chapter and detailed discussion per week. 2 quizzes (can be previewed), a midterm and final exam (cannot be previewed). 1 novel required with essay. Professor was very interactive on the discussion board!

Even before class started he came across as rude and just uninterested in my questions. If you?re not into U.S Hist since 1876 dont take his class; his test ask detailed questions about unimportant facts, so you must know everything in the book to get an A (No EXR CREDIT). The online discussion forum was eh, the topics he choose didn?t interest me.

Very fast paced 8 week course. About one chapter per week. Prof gives study guides. Put a little extra time into discussions and you will get high scores. One novel review. Many people complained but anyone with half a wit can pass with a high grade. I really enjoyed this class -- great experience.
