I wasn't thrilled. He was not very clear, and his notes were not that great at all. I found Google a lot more helpful. He is very helpful though, if you go and see him during office hours. Please avoid this class or take a substitute unless it is absolutely necessary.

Very boring lectures, I actually could not keep my eyes open. Easy tests but sometimes theres a hard question. People are so stupid so its easy to do well in the class. Very helpful outside of class. DONT go to lectures instead go to him during office hours.

i found his lectures dull and not helpful. i stopped and started attending tutorials rather. tutorials and webassign were so beneficial. you have to work fast during midterms though or you'll run out of time. and he talks a lot during tests which bugged me. overall he's actually not horrible. but i couldnt deal 3times a week..

Easy tests if you study the pretest outlines. He curves the final marks MORE than generously. He wants you to do well. The people saying his tests are difficult are just dumb. The ones who say he's not helpful never went to office hours. I saw him spend 10 minutes straight trying to explain the simplest concept to a girl. Good guy, generous marker.

I was in his Calculus 1 class. His classes/lectures were so boring but his tutorials are quite helpful, since there are less people. The BIGGEST PROBLEM with this prof is most of the marks in his tests are asking for you to explain the theory of every step that you do. I solved the questions, but still failed the test :(

He is a great professor. He explains concepts in a clear and neat way, saves you a lot of time on reading and understanding the textbook by yourself. Tests were easy if you've got a solid foundation in Gr.12 math.

Very helpful, course website was clean, neat and everything was easy to find. Samples were given before every quiz and the questions on the tests were similar to samples. His TAs knew him well, and they made a good team. He finished on time and left two sessions to do a review of the course. Very polite, good sense of humour, but a little demanding

He is a horrible professor who has no teaching skills what so ever. if you are in his class. it would be best to skip and just study from the textbook and the WEBASSIGN questions. In other words his class is a waste of your time!!

This professor is amazing. His tests are fair and easy...as long as you take your time practising the problems in the textbook you should be fine. He takes his test questions from the textbook problems. Exam was hard but i still ended up getting my A. Good prof, deserves better ratings than what hes getting.

I DON'T know how these people are saying this guy is bad. His tests are very fair and easy, I was a sceptic because of these comments going into his class but this man is really good and doesn't deserve these ratings. He gives easy tests, online assignments and explains the textbook perfectly. If you can get into uni u can pass his course. Simple..

Take this course if u love math!yes he reads out the material from videos and textbook is more help bt his tas mark pretty fair and doing webassignments and book problems is enough for getting good mark on test bt exam and curve sketching....well just don't even expect!

Prof Szeto is a good teacher. His weassignments are helpful as the assignments (as well as the test previews!) help you prepare for upcoming tests. The tests are not impossible to do so long as you do the webassignments and do exercises in the textbook. It is not mandatory to attend his classes.

literally reads off the textbook so whether thats good or bad is up to u. but that means you dont always have to go to his class. if you got a good math teacher in HS or got good mark in calc you should be fine. just keep doing probelms in text and dont fall behind and this course should be alright.

He reads the slides that come with the text to you during lectures. If you tend to skip a lot, this might be a good thing. His test aren't the easiest, but frankly, it's pretty easy to get a high 90 in his class.
