Crook is a good teacher but his style didn't really fit me, so I had a hard time in his class. He makes you read every chapter and then lectures on it. make sure you know the judges and courts. he didn't go over those a lot and they were on the test. If you study & read the text book you will do well. but over all he is a good teacher.

CJ 1010 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I really enjoyed his class. He has cool stories to tell, he is very knowledgeable. he makes jokes. Make sure you read and study the chapters in the text book. You have a quiz after he finishes covering the material in each class. Also take good notes. sometimes he covers things that will be on the quiz but only briefly. Good luck!

Mr. Crook made this Criminology class fun. There are quizzes after each chapter and the final reflects the quizzes. Pay attention to the theorists he discusses because more than likely they WILL be on the quiz. He is a no nonsense kind of guy and is somewhat strict, but you'll find he does have a fun side to him. I really respect him.

I went into this class liking it, then not liking my grades throughout the weeks and quizzes. There is a quiz after each chapter and the final reflects the exact questions from the quizzes. The textbook will be attached to your hip because his quizzes can be difficult even when you've read the material. Overall, he is a very informative person.

IT 1350 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Good teacher who has a passion for learning. Class was based almost completely on quizzes and tests, which sometimes made it hard. Worked for the F.B.I. so he knows a lot on some related subjects. Does a good job of tying class material to real world examples and stories.

Took his class one day a week and overall it was a decent class. Expect a quiz on each chapter roughly 19 questions or so. The quizzes can reference specific cases but overall if you just skim over the material you should be alright. He's interesting and has good stories. Also has a really easy 5 page paper. I was third in the class.

Great teacher, if you don't come to class or do the reading you are not going to do well. But the readings aren't long (probably takes 30 min to an hour), one reading every other day. His classes are fun to be in.

Mr. Crooks lectures are easy to understand and follow and are very informative. However, they do not prepare you for his weekly tests at all. I was ranked #12 out of 50 students and received a B-. Only two students received an A- and no one student received an A. Sounds like a teaching problem when not one student receives an A.

He gives lots of quizzes so if you are not a good test taker than perhaps you shouldn't take this class. He gives like 10 mins to take a 19 question quiz.Reading the book is highly necessary. There is a 5 page paper due at the end of the semester which isn't too bad. He is a tough grader especially on the paper. But he does know his stuff.

Great teacher I really learned a lot from him. He has a lot of knowledge about what he teaches. Take lots of notes and read the book and you will do fine he even tells you most of the quizzes and test questions come from the book. Very helpful I will take another class from him again.
