Great guy but not a great lecturer. If you need clarification go to office hours, he is more helpful there than in class. Easy exams but overall he is really not a great teacher. Easy A though.

He's really nice! Exam content can vary, and some of the concepts in physics can be difficult, especially since this is a college level physics class. However, he's pretty helpful, and stays on topic. Pretty good prof overall.

Very detailed explanations in class. Can't get confused if you go to class. He will make sure you're understanding physics! Do the practice problems he assigns, test questions come right from the problems. He's extremely willing to help as well.

Bougie is super nice and easy going. He won't cause you stress, make you jump through hoops, or give you busy work. I thought the tests were fairly easy, but to make up for it an A starts at 94%. He might be my favorite prof at Loyola. Overall very reasonable and fair. I highly recommend him.

Compared to previous comments, this guy must have improved a lot. I loved him. He really does a great job explaining the material, and is always willing to help. His test are fairly easy. You get to drop you lowest and make your final worth more. From what I hear, the best physics professor.

One of the nicest professors you'll ever meet. The class is fairly straightforward. Go through the relevant chapter of the textbook and do the online quiz on time. Do the practice problems from the book and go to class fairly regularly. There is really not much work required as long as you stay ahead and don't try to cram. Very good course.

I'm a Chem major whose only prior physics experience was my junior year of high school. I went to class, never opened the book, never studied, and completed all the mandatory assignments. I EASILY got an A in this class. He's a very interesting lecturer, and he's very lax on deadlines. Bougie is simply a great professor.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I guess he improved since last year because he is a great physics prof. Clear, nice ppt lectures, though does get boring, it is physics...tests are easy if you do all the hw probs he assigns, only a few but very helpful. Quizzes are simple and help if you try, dont have to try but...And drops one test and gave us extra credit opp. :)RECOMMEND!!!

Can't say anything about lower-level physics classes, but for Modern, he was really great. Grade is based off of tests, gives extra credit for presenting hw problems. Cool guy. Do the homework, and the tests are pretty straight forward.

I don't know what some people are talking about... Professor Bougie is the BEST physics professor I have EVER had! He's clear and straightforward... just do the homework and show up to class and it's almost impossible to not get a B. He's also the most enthusiastic professor I've had at Loyola! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

He reminds me of the guys from MythBusters. I loved him, although his class could get boring at times, he was really good at explaining the material. all you have to do is do the online quizzes, understand the homework and it's an easy A. If you can't get an A/B+ in his class than you must be an idiot.

Bougie is the coolest professor out there. Easy reading quizzes every week, and tests are very fair. I don't see why he's not getting better ratings. He makes himself very available for help. Physics isn't an easy subject but he makes it as straight forward as possible. Great prof.

I don't know what everyone else is talking about Bougie is great!I'm horrible at physics and I managed to pull off an A. Bottom line: He's a great professor, lectures out of the book and his tests are more than fair!Take him! Whoever said he was hard clearly did not read the book or go to class!!!

He is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He made Physics extremely harder than it had to be. Doesn't care about students and enjoys giving out C's and D's.

I took honors physics in hs and loved it, but this prof made it very difficult and was extremely confusing. You'll have to rely a lot on the book to teach you this subject because his lectures are scattered and do not help you for the test at all.I wouldn't take him unless you absolutely have to.

Very hard professor, has weekly quizzes that are extremely difficult and tests are really long. He does not like to give out A's, so don't go into this class looking for one, even if you've had physics before. He's a pretty nice guy, just not a great teacher

Impossible teacher, lectures are all over the place so you basically have to teach yourself everything, and this is physics...so good luck w/ that. I do NOT recommend this teacher at all, taking him would be a huge mistake
