GEOG01 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: A+

Professor Collins really cares about his students and does everything in his power to make sure you do well. He is interested in what he teaches but classes are a little dry. The information being taught is fairly simple and reading textbook is very useful. He is an overly fair grader and always makes himself available for students who need help

POLS 100W Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I left a review previously but just wanted to add that Prof. Collins is extremely helpful and nice in his office hours. If you take the time to go to office hours he will view you more positively. He is also more relaxed and laid back in office hours than in class.

POLS 100W Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Very easy grader, but can be condescending in addition to being extremely boring. Each day's lecture is the same as the last. You learn nothing from attending class but attendance is mandatory since there is always something due. Seems like a nice guy with good intentions -- perhaps he'd just rather be teaching geography and got stuck with POLS.

Poli Sci 100w Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

I enrolled into Professor's Collins class with an open mind even though I've heard a lot of complaints about him from his former students. Overall, expect him to be extremely rude to you and make you feel like you are not even worthy to talk to him. I've never had any issues with any of my professors before but his personality is so unbearable.

Basically, dont come to class and study on your own the textbook, of which is like 100 plus a workbook u dont use. his tests are abnormally hard and he gets side tracked all the time. he is very unorganized. you write papers a lot, which arent too bad

This class is reeeaaallllllllly boring. Going to class is pointless because you won't understand what he is trying to teach and the only homework is essays that are fairly easy. Thats the only good thing about the class. Also his test are hard and have nothing to do with the homework assignments. Better off teaching yourself.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. seriously it is terrbile. he is a horrible. terrible at explaining anything, boring, tells you a grade, and it changs a week later when u havent done anymore assigments. the homework is essays, that are stupid. attending class is useless and the tests dont relate back to what you "learned" in class. basically, teach yourself.

He is a very nice teacher, easily accessible for help.He is very good at explaining, he simplifies problems/idea to a level even a child would be able to understand the concepts he explains. So who ever says he is a bad teacher just didn't take enough interest in the class and that why they probably failed

Collins is a nice man but just seems really cluttered and unorganized with his ideas. Each report was postponed at least 2 weeks, so you never know when anything is actually due. 3 midterms and 1 optional final. Easy tests if you use his study guide and do light reading. EASY CLASS but boring lectures.

GEO10 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Boring class. He's a nice guy overall but I do not recommend taking his class. Although you can see his effort in wanting you to succeed. He will treat you like you're a geography major. Collins will also put the spotlight on at least 5 people a lecture and expect you to answer his questions. His lectures do not make any sense and he is unorganized

Collins is a good man. He tries hard -- he really wants the class to understand and succeed. Unfortunately, his lack of preparation sometimes causes problems with this -- he regularly has laptop problems / etc. Easy class if you do the work. As the previous posters mentioned, final replaces lowest test. Homework is quick and easy short papers.

He is enthusiastic and excited to teach and does all he can to help students to succeed. He provides slide shows and outlines online for you to use. Tests require you to study a lot of material but there are few questions on the test.

He wants the students in his class to succeed and will do anything to make that happen. The final replaces the lowest test grade, the final essay (as an outline) can replace your lowest essay grade. He gives you his notes for each of the chapters, tells you what's going to be on the test and what to study.

He's a very nice guy. A little green as a teacher. He wastes so much time reviewing old tests and papers, many days were a complete waste of time. When asked about his grading style on papers, he'll get very defensive. I didn't really learn much but I did get an easy "A".

Very confusing and unorganized, yes. Not always crystal clear, yes. However, he does go out of his way to make office hours with you, and he does at least try to prepare students for tests and homeworks. Curves grades and pushes back due dates for the good of the whole. Overall, nice guy, just not the greatest communicator.

He is a bit unorganized and his laptop never works. His test questions are all from the readings and if you like your grade by the final you dont have too take it. But show up too class and read the book and you should be fine. he also prints out notes for you so you dont have to take them. Also there is a 100 word essay in each chapter. There easy.

He's pretty unorganized, his computer never seemed to work. he's nice and helpful. gave us all his notes and what too study for on the test. the final replaces your lowest score. people always complained about never recieving his emails, but i guess they never realized he was doing us a favor by sending them. he's a bit dorky but overall good!
