Very useful class. Rams really cared about the quality of our submitted work, gave us a lot of resources to do well, was really really helpful to the students who wanted to go the extra-mile, was always flexible.. all around great professor and class.

CHEM398 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Rams is one of the hardest working and most knowledgeable professors in Chemistry and Biophysics at Michigan. He consistently treats his students with the respect of an equal ? a very admirable quality. He is extremely approachable, caring, and supportive of his students ? always willing to give guidance when/where needed; he is a natural teacher.

Dr. Ramamoorthy is an outstanding research advisor. He truly cares about his undergrads, and makes sure that I learn the skills I need to learn to be a successful researcher. He wants to see his students succeed, and he is very enthusiastic about everyone's projects.

Chem463 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

He's kind of an idiot. He reuses his Chem 453 stuff for Chem 463, so expect a lot of protein folding information. He also forgot to put in our book order, so we didn't get them until late January. He makes you do problems on the board and also uses some of the class examples on his exams - like word for word. Good luck!

Great guy to have for an advisor. The research that his lab does is very interesting, and you will learn a lot of valuable research skills by working for him.

Lectures make sense after you review the material in the book. He loves to breeze through derivations, don't get hung up on them, just understand the concepts behind them. He means well even though this sometimes it seems like he's being mean. He will make you go to the board to do problems so you get over your fear of being wrong.

CHEM453 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Very unpredictable and lazy. His tests aren't supposed to be that hard but sometimes he gives these unexpected questions with a lot of points that people get right for guessing right. So because he is unpredictable he is either very hard or easy depending on how well you catch on with the prof's teaching method and type of exam problems.
