"Tests are tough" "Would take again"

Hilarious and hope to be able to take him again. His lectures were thorough and concise but the written exams were a bit difficult but definitely passable

"Skip class? You won't pass." "Tests are tough"

Ugh. This class sucked. That being said, calculus wasn't going to be easy to begin with. But Moore wasn't helpful, he would skip steps and we would only get through so many problems in class because of it. The stories he told, were sometimes funny but took 10-15 minutes out of each class. Tests are tough, especially the final!! Got a C, im happy!

Very good professor. Exams are brutally tough, but fair. He is approachable and probably THE most helpful of anyone I've ever had. If you go to him with a question on the homework or a project, he will tell you EXACTLY what to do so that you get a perfect score.

Dr Moore was a wonderful professor, his explanations were clear, doing the online HW made class easier. Gave stories every class that helped keep you awake and motivated.

Dr. Moore is a really good professor. His tests are hard, but all Calculus 1 tests are the same at UCF so you'll have the same test no matter which professor you take. Dr. Moore is very helpful and always willing to answer any questions that you have. He is better than a lot of the calc professors because he is american and you can understand him.

He. Is. AWESOME! If you take any other professor, take this guy. Calculus is hard boo-hoo. If you're not ready to roll too bad. For the rest of you, take the class by the balls and tell it where you're headed. You're gonna have to do the things you don't want. Study and go to discussion. That aside he's a real cool guy and is willing to help.

He is a really cool and funny guy, but he skips a lot of material that is important for understanting how to do the problems.

Dr. Moore's class is one of the best math classes I have ever taken. He does get side tracked sometimes, and skips a few things, but those are usually things you should already know. Overall, if you actually put in some effort into the class, and read your book, you will get an easy A!

I did not love him. I am a major math nerd and never once received less than an A in any math course in my life, yet I got a D in his class. My answers would be right, but would still fail because I didn't use HIS method. He was funny in an awkward sort of way but didn't really explain much. I would not recommend him.

He's got a dry, geeky, dorky sense of humor. But that's not a bad thing in my book. His typical in class problem examples involve comically random objects: "A burrito is moving upwards vertically w/ velocity..." He keeps the class lighthearted, which makes learning so much easier.

Typical UCF Math class, all HW is online, iClicker attendance, he is very flexible with grading and drops lowest test grade, responds quickly to emails. Average Teacher

He's an average professor. Wouldn't recommend him but don't drop his class if you get him. He uses the iClicker to take attendance. Attendance is also taken in the labs. So basically 10% of your grade is 5 days/week attendance. The skills tests are computer-graded and are not multiple choice. Easy if you've had experience with calculus.

His lectures are very clear. He goes through definitions and then works through examples. He, however, is VERY helpful with his exam reviews because he works through a harder version of each type of question that will be shown on the test. IF you understand how to do that, then you're golden.

One of the best math teachers I've ever had. He is extremely passionate about math and it shows. As others have noted, story time is entertaining and a great way to give students a little brain break. Review sessions basically cover one of every type of problem that you'll see on the tests, so at the very least go to those.

Great teacher. I really like his teaching style. He likes to pause lecture to tell a funny story or remark. In all, you can get a lot out of his lectures if you choose to go. But although there is attendance taken randomly once a week you can learn this yourself without going to lecture as well as long as you keep up with the homework.

His lectures can get a little boring--but he always spices it up with story time! The tests are fair. If you do well on the skills tests, and the homework, the tests shouldn't be ridiculously hard. He has a review day and goes over exactly what kind of questions will be on the test. Take him, and make good use of the TAs!

Dr. Moore was an extremely clear, helpful and interesting professor. Always managed to balance the class on learning the material but keeping things light hearted. The tests were difficult, as were the quizzes. But there are no tricks. Do the homework and put in the time when studying and you will pass. Would definitely take him again.

Don't listen to the people who says he messes up problems! First of all nobody is perfect all the time, he makes a mistake once in a blue moon and fixes it! He is really good at explaining things and his story times are really nice in the middle of class, you will laugh. EAT YOUR PANCAKES!

Dr.Moore, the best professor at UCF easy. He is a master of mathematics and very funny as well. Story time is great (tandem essays lol). But, do you HW because the test are not easy.
