Very sweet woman that enjoys teaching. Makes class very interesting and grades fairly. Participation counts but does not seem like a chore.

She is a great professor. Very willing to help. Tests are easy if you read the book. What you pay is what you gain during this class.

CFIII Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Best CF professor I had. Picks excellent readings and makes artwork interesting too. Tough but fair grader, and has a fun sense of humor.

CF3 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Great professor. She's very helpful if you go to her office hours (helped me go in the right direction with my essay--went to her for feedback). The texts she chooses are very interesting (she also showed us a couple videos) The close reading done was great. I enjoyed the class and as long as you contribute to discussion you have an A.

She's great. The books she chooses are interesting, the movies are great. As long as you contribute to the class (about anything) you can get an A. Exams are reasonable if you study the books (barely uses stokstad. I loved her. Went to her for help on an essay and she really helped me in my direction.

CFIICFII Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

More literature based than art based (less Stokstad) very entertaining and interesting class, she chooses amazing texts to read and does close analyses. highly recommend for CF2, participate in class and she will love you (and let you rewrite your papers) easy and fair grading can get boring if you don't do any of the work and don't participate

Not an enjoyable class, I took it as part of Global Liberal Studies. Unhelpful, vague, boring. Stay away, go for Tharoor/Martin

CULTURE1 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

While Masri's class can be boring, she tries to make things interesting. Grading wise she is fair, a little tough on papers if you don't give her what she's looking for. She lets you correct major errors anyways. Recommended if you want an easier class with a low work load.

CULT2 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Great professor. Go to her office hours and have her look at your papers before you hand them in for feedback. She likes it when you participate and show enthusiasm. Not to tough with the amount of reading which I thought allowed me to remember/reflect more. She's also very flexible and a nice person.

Very nice and helpful. Not the most interesting class but she tries to mix it up and make it engaging. 2 papers a midterm and a final. All fairly easy. Tougher on papers than tests. Overall a pretty good professor.
