SOC344 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Wonderful professor. Even if you don't know a lot beforehand about the subject matter in political sociology Dr. Shefner does a great job throughout the semester of teaching you the importance of the subject matter through lectures, readings, and discussion. You HAVE to read and his exams are challenging. I would take him again.

SOC442 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Shefner is one of the best teachers this campus has. His interest in his course subject, as well as students' learning, is extremely high. He expects a lot, and his class is by no means easy. He will call you out on bs, so don't try any of that. However, if you want to actually learn something, take him.

GLBST250 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Passionate about what he teaches and does bring in guest lecturers which is interesting. The class is a lot of work and reading but if you try hard you'll get a good grade. Goes on at length about made up examples, but what really bothered me is that he seems to think all of his students are just as socialist/communist as he is.

Soc250 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Shefner is by far the best teacher I have ever had. Not only is he respectfully intelligent, he is passionate about what he teaches and integrates class material into real life situations. What he teachers actually matters. He comes across as intimidating, but he is kind, smart, and genuinely interested in his students' comprehension.

SOC250 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This is the absolute worst class I have ever taken. Prof. Shefner lectures on random topics and there is no structure to the class. Most of the lectures seem too detailed and irrelevant for an intro class. He also grades way too hard.
