"Amazing lectures" "Respected by students" "Gives good feedback"

One of my favourite Ryerson professors, and not even one in my major. Took his class as an elective and found it to be surprisingly rewarding.

I found his lecture style a bit unorganized, I wish he would provide lecture outlines or important terms. Also, he constantly made se*ist remarks "sarcastically" ... kind of annoying.

A very passionate professor but an incredibly hard marker. Gives you the questions to his exams but has very high expectations. I enjoyed his lectures personally though he often goes off topic. All and all not a bad prof but don't expect a good grade in his class

This prof is a little bit scatter brained I think. He gets distracted really easy by off topic questions in almost every lecture. As long as you read and try to understand the readings given before hand the class and tests are easy enough.

PHL 205 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

He may seem very repetitive but that is only because the course material is difficult to follow... his in-depth explanations do help to grasp the concepts in the end. I'd suggest going to class, as he rewords the readings and makes them easier to understand, and uses a lot of examples to illustrate the concepts as well.

ssh 105 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! He uses political and social problems as examples within the class, & then just spends the lecture talking about the topics he used as examples, rather than the actual steps of the critical thinking process. The textbook even states that one should use simplistic examples. He is a terrible marker.

He is very unclear and rants a lot in class. I learned this course from home and stopped going to lecture. I would record lectures and find nothing useful from what he said later on as I transcribed them. He marks too hard for his teaching. Your lucky if you get in the 80's. He is kind, but doesn't seem interested in teaching.

Switch if you can, I do not recommend him for SSH 105. Too large of a lecture to keep up with him.

Dianda is a sweet teacher. He's very repetitive of himself but because of confusing subject matter in philosophy it is usually helpful. He's very passionate about what he's teaching. An alright marker--gives the marks people deserve. He is very fair and encouraging.

ACS105 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

For ACS 105, soo easy. His problem is he's too nice. He posts all the answers to the practice questions in the text. Nobody shows up to class, or they leave after 5 minutes and wonder why they fail. I enjoyed the references to mathematics and geometry. Also enjoyed that he isn't overly liberal like every other prof.

Way too boring. Needs to take some uppers before class. Also, very biased. Should try to stay more neutral or at least open to competing ideas.

Professor Dianda will only give you ask much as you want to take out of the course. Yes, he may seem unclear at times - but that is the nature of the material. If you read the material, participate, and still have unanswered questions, he will help out in any way he can. If he seems condescending, it's mostly self-consciousness, I think.

Very incompetent as a Professor. When it comes to lectures and tutorials, he is very unclear. One of the most annoying things about him is that he frequently uses scientific and mathematical analogies even when it is not pertainent to the issue at hand. When lecturing, he goes right into the next thing that comes into his mind leaving you baffled.

I thought this course was going to be great... I thought wrong. He goes off topic way too much, and doesn't know where he is going. He often uses confusing analogies and examples, often bringing some quantum physics into the mix when completly unnecessary. He may be very knowledgable, but cannot profess his knowledge coherently.

He's a very nice guy, but a horrible prof. Don't ever take his course, it's a total waste of time. You will never learn anything, and even worse you'll actually hate philosophy.
