The subject matter is very difficult, but he makes it manageable. MUST attend class. He has a pop quiz once a week and it accounts for a huge chunk of your grade.

Paul is a good guy, and will help you when you're struggling. His problem session is really helpful. He made physics (which I hated in high school, by the way) fun.

Best professor I've ever had. He's the reason I became a physics major.

Makes the class easy to pass if you read the text and work out homework problems. Great help outside class. He also does a problem-solving supplement class and that is much better than taking a different instructor and getting overloaded with homework.

Best physics professor I've ever had, hands down. Physics 161 is hard, the subject matter is very dense but Paul covers the important concepts. Tests are hard but fair. And he is willing to make time for you if you can't make his office hours. Really nice guy. I wish he was teaching physics 3. Thanks for making physics (ph)un Paul!

PHYS161 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Jerry Garcia teaches physics. He does not cover material from book-read every chapter!. His lectures are all over the place and he has a tendency to get lost. He does do a lot of cool demos.

Very clear. Extremely helpful. Tests and quizzes are a challenge, but mostly come from concepts and problems he gives during lectures.
