Assignments are composed of two essays, quizzes, and a final. All quizzes are based off of the readings, so if you actually read, they are super easy. Essays can be difficult, but as long as your writing is really specific, you can do well. Lecture can be boring, but overall, great professor.

Teaching style is straigt up lecture, no homework, no text book readings necessary. This works great for me since I can pay attention and take excellent notes. If you don't like lectures, avoid, otherwise I recommend! He always allows questions to be asked. He doesn't use PowerPoints, only conventional projector which I also prefer.

GREAT prof. Hates it if you are late to class; knows everyone's name. Go to class and do the readings (what the quizzes are based on) and you will get an A. Approachable and willing to help if you ask. Critical thinking is necessary in the essays (connecty units and themes together but he talks about connections in class so it isn't that hard)

Really clear, easy to take notes, tests on what he teaches. As long as you go to lecture and take notes, it should be easy enough. He is helpful if you ask questions

Excellent prof. Makes history relevant. Hates when your late, doesn't take attendance, but remembers your face

He is far to obsessed with the nitty gritty details like proper citations. When it comes to actual knowledge of the history, there is not much there.

Overall, not a bad professor. 8 quizzes(drop 2), paper and final. No extra credit. If you go to class and do the readings you should be okay. If do what he wants for the paper you're good. I got an A in the class.

It is not difficult at all to get an A in his classes. Just do the reading and don't miss class. He takes attendance and you have weekly 10 point quizzes based on the reading which is mostly from the book in addition to supplemental articles. If you ever need help he is more than happy to edit papers and things in advance.

Worst teacher ever. He always seems so insecure speaking in front of people, and very unprofessional. Really boring, and tests do not reflect what he says in class. Needs full attention from everyone, hates when students comes in late. Overall, do not take him if you want a good grade for this class.

Not a good teacher. Needs complete silence without disturbance or he won't teach. Once he realizes that everyone will fail his tests he tries to give out suggested chapters to focus on. You are better off taking the class with the guy who actually wrote the book on campus.

Worst teacher ever. Definitely knows nothing about history. I would place him as more of a home-economics professor or something, in which details of the past are irrelevant. On an 3-class week, I averaged two major corrections on his lecture, basically anything he said I felt was too stupid or just plain wrong to let slide...

He's too pre-occupied with people coming in late, holding their cell phones, and talking than he is with teaching. He is a terrible teacher and I wouldn't recommend him.

You can repeat exactly hat he's said in lecture on your essays and you will end up with a D or F. It's impossible to know what he wants.
