FIN422 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

The class did not follow the schedule at all and was not prepared well. The powerpoints are straight off the books website. The homework takes forever and is worth very little points, but he only grades on completion. The final paper is a lot of work. However, the final is take home. Most of the points in the class were from the last 3 weeks.

Lectures are not helpful for the homework assignments. Hard for even good students to get an A.

Please do not take this class with Sinha. His homework is not well explained at all. Even good students sit for hours doing the homework with no progress at all. Lecture is pretty much worthless. I feel that he is not ever prepared to teach his own class. Please for the sake of your time and stress level don't take him.

Best teacher for Fin 322 by far. Takes attendance every class, which can factor in a lot at the end. Classes are boring and read off slides and he's hard to hear, but exams aren't too bad, especially the final. Homework is worth more than exams and are easy to do with others, but he is not very helpful if you have questions about it. Take him.

Come to this web site to read the feedback before taking a class. Dr. Sinha is new at Bradley, so I took him at my own risk and now I regret. His teaching style is incomprehensible, we had to go through the same things twice and three times. He made wrong assumptions and the whole lot of mistakes himself on the Power Points let alone explain those

Grading policies are not well defined, you just do not get the grades except the midterm and final, nothing for test 2, nothing for the presentation and nothing for paper. If you do bad on the test, I guess there will be no way to check your standing or/ and improve it. Recommend against taking him

Very knowledgeable. A bit hard to understand but you get used to it. PPTs were helpful, however, first 3 weeks out of 7 in the semester he figured that we did not keep up with him, midterm was 75 average (7 people in class). We never found out our grades for test 2, 3, paper and presentation. I believe there could be some subjectivity in grading.

Take him for finance. All multiple choice. There are more points given for homework than tests so even if you do bad on the tests your homework brings you back up. Tests are easier than homework, but if you miss 3 questions its already a B so you gotta be almost perfect. Easy compared to other FIN teachers

After hearing that ALL the teachers in the Finance department were terrible, and that Amit Sinha was shorter than terrible, i opted to take him for a J-term. Not a bad class, interesting. He takes attendance, so go to class, and take good notes. Do the homework, its graded. Tests....EASY just study the homeworks and you will do fine. I got an A.

He is a little hard to understand but if you can learn from a book and powerpoints, you can get an A with ease. The homework is required. The tests are basically an easier form of the homework. After hearing about the other professors, take him for sure.
