HIST111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Lots of work expected. Plenty of reading. 4 analytical essays, a midterm, a final (both in essay bluebook format), participation/attendance. Very passionate about what she teachers and very intelligent. Recent name change to Garneau. Cute professor.

HIST111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Attendence is necessary to get the slides for that day. Only graded on reading responses, essays, and tests (essay format). She grades like this is an english class - hardly focues on the content. The slides are helpful but listening to her lecture gets annoying after the first week. I pulled off an A, but I would not recommend her.

hist111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Honestly. What to say. Grad student? Probably. Based on the bs way she grades....she thinks her class is an english class, and she grades based on what she wants to hear. Basically a wasted effort.

HIST111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Susan Fry is an awesome history teacher who really knows her stuff. She is interested in the topics in class and tries to get other people interested too. She listens closely to class feedback and really got me into history. There's a lot of reading but the grading is straightforward. Put in effort, get an easy A.

HIST111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

There is no "textbook," but there are several outside readings. I got by pretty well BS-ing the weekly reading responses. Midterm was ok, but the essay needed to be very detailed to do well. You basically need to go to class to get the material she wants you to know for tests. Lectures are ok, but she has phrases she uses a lot that get annoying.
