I had the good fortune of having Gupta for Chem Thermo so I only had to have her for mat. sciences. She's just not a good teacher. She seems like she reviews the material five minutes before class and is often wrong. If you attempt to correct her, she refuses to admit she's wrong. Just grin and bear it... you don't really have a choice.

Chem Thermo and Mat'l Science. They are hard classes, especially chm thermo but she is the best. I love her, for real!! The best and nicest professor ever.

Really she is not bad. It could be worse, much worse. Gupta is a far better teacher but his class is much harder them hers. The book she use in my class was aweful but I servived by using the Smith,Van Ness introduction to ChmE thermo book. Just teach your self the material and work a lot of example problems at home you will do fine.

She's knowledgeable about chem thermo but can't really explain it to students. Definitely not bad enough to take Gupta instead. Homework is very tough and her lectures don't prepare you for it. Get ready to read a lot and teach yourself for the homework. Have fun....we all did!

She is very rude when we try to ask questions and unwilling to help you. She's always busy for her students and if you need help she tells you to email her or the t.a. even though she is right there to help you. She assigns difficult hw from chapters ahead that she'll cover briefly after a while. Tests contain things she didnt even cover.
