She is real chill and laid back. The class involved a lot of class conversations about controversial issues. Easy essays throughout semester. She will work with you if you need help. Not the best teacher to actually learn from, but she is a good for just wanting to succeed.

AWESOME TEACHER!! She is so nice and helpful!! Helps you catch up if you need it and understands that college is not just about her class. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a literature class. Kept the class interesting and fun!! I learned a lot as well!!

Monica Hernandez is very funny and laid back. Altough she assigns a few papers and gives quizzes, she makes it fun. I got very comfortable in her class on day one. What I like about her is she is willing to help with your topic or anything that is concerning you about the class. Oh and she shows lots of youtube videos, which i love! I HIGHLY REC.

If you want to learn how to do a well-rounded essay(s) and how to cite your work, she is the gal to take. She made it exremely easy, not too much reading and she is not a harsh grader. She always had a smile on her face, was never mean, and she was "cool" as an instuctor. I went from a C to an A with her and you wil like her. COOL LADY!

i took her for the second time because she is an excellent example of a great professor. She gets the whole class to talk and really think deeply about any given subject. she makes the work she gives us fun and effective and doesn't grade harshly. Take her and you won't be disappointed.

She isn't too hard on grading. As long as you are clear in your writing, you should be fine.

One of the most fun, down to earth professors I've ever had. She's willing to work with ANYBODY. As far as papers go, she wasn't extremely harsh when she graded them like other professors can be. VERY open minded so you don't have to worry if your stance on a topic will get you a bad grade. Looking forward to taking her for ENGL 1302!

Mrs. Hernandez is an excellent professor. She has always pushed me into doing my essays and other works. Her teaching methods are easy to learn and is very clear on how she wants certain work done. Which is why I took her again for Eng 1302.

In the beginning I thought that this was going to a hard.I read the other comment on how you have to be a God for writting and was freakn out completely. As the class went on it was so easy that you would have to be a fool not to take Hernandez. She is really funny and down to earth. She is very helpful just ask.I really did learn alot from her.
