In the course of require studies for two Masters degree, I have never experienced studies with such an inspired and knowledgeable educator. Sweetman may be the housing for a profound national treasure; he is a deep vessel of historical record, information and insight. Some students may not be aware of the gifts of his mind, but this one is. Thanks!

Mature, intelligent students will get a lot from this professor. He is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met on the subject of photography. he really knows his stuff. But if you are impatient you will miss out on his brilliance. Alex has changed the way I think about photography. He is one of the very few geniuses I have know. Thanks Alex.

Alex Sweetman ranks among the best professors I ever had the pleasure to take a class from. He is a creative genius, eloquent, and unique. The material he presents is original. It is not parroted from a book. Alex is a scholar and an artist. He deserves your respect undergrads. Pay attention. You're unlikely to run into many like Alex Sweetman.

This dude was the most irritating teacher I've ever had. He sucks, straight up. No tests, no quizzes, and no grades...just him and his self-indulgent scatter brained ramblings. In any other case a teacher like this would be awesome but I'm a photo major and I'm actually interested in this stuff but I learned absolutely nothing photographically.

Strange class format. No tests, no quizzes, no attendance required. My class was completely based on a fairly easy, individual, semester long project. The professor is very nice, and has interesting things to say.

By far the most intelligent faculty member in the art department. I feel honored to have had a class with him.

It's an easy A. No real assignments were given. I don't think he cared if we did anything. He shows lots of randon slides and videos, which he aimlessly rambles over. It sounds like his comments might be interesting, but he is scatter brained and hard to follow. No test though, so attending class is not necessary.
