MATH 111
He's a good professor who seems to have problems explaining some concepts. Very nice and helpful. He cares a lot about his students. I would say to take him if you have a decent background in Calculus.

He is not an easy prof. and his accent is very thick but he is more than willing to help if you are willing to ask for it. Homework and class aren't manditory but HIGHLY recomended. Go to the class,go to his office hours, so the homework and maybe get a tutor and you will easily pass the class. Also, laugh at his jokes. It never hurts.

this guy is the man. no matter what anyone says he is defiantly one of the greatest and most qualified professors of all time. take his class... go to class... get great grades.

This guy really means well, but wasn't a suitable calc 1 prof. Took a college calc class in high school & still had couldnt follow him. Textbook was awful & his lectures were only helpful if you had a firm grasp on the concepts prior to class. Even tho hes hard to understand, he is very willing to help you & will give you the grade you deserve.

I took AP calc in highschool and without it I would definitely be lost in his class. I thought the class was really easy and if you try to do well and show up to every class he will at least give you a C. If you havent taken Calc before, it could be a struggle because he doesnt explain very well

He is such a nice guy. Everyone in my class loved him. The class is quite challenging but with tutors and the profs help I made it. He has changed my life forever and I am so glad I got to take this class. Wonderful guy, okay prof. Willing to help and teach you whatever you do not understand. no mandatory hw but DO practice prob. They help!

A great teacher. He is unbelievably knowledgeable. A prior calculus knowledge is helpful. Very willing to help students. Very nice guy too.

very hard class.. super smart guy but almost too smart to make math understandable. took ap calc and still struggled. LOVES his students though

Dr. Gaur is a very smart man. I took AP calc in highschool and still got a B in his class. Although i did not go to every lecture, i know that they were difficult to understand. If you take this class make sure that you have background knowledge in calc. Great guy though, he loves his students.

Such a nice guy! Professor Gaur is a little hard to understand at times and goes a little fast but will always help you go over a problem when you ask!

He really is a genius and sometimes overestimates the learning capacity of his students. All in all go to the tutor and his office hours when you have questions and you will do fine. More than willing to help anyone with trouble they are having.

He's a very smart and knowledgeable prof, but he doesn't really know how to teach the information. If you don't understand Calc to begin with, you're going to need a tutor to get a decent grade.

Don't take him. You will learn nothing from his lecture. You will end up teaching yourself from the book. His notes are Really bad. His answers were always wrong and didn't make sense. He brought questions on the test that were not in the H.W which is supposed to be a good preperation for his tests. You won't do well if you are not a math guy.

The wost teacher ever! Always solve problems the wrong way & if you check the answer in the book it's always different than his. Don't see HW! bring problems in the exam that were not covered in class. never comes to class on time. On top of that he thinks that he is the best while in fact he is the worst! Avoid him.

Knowledgeable about his subject, but he can't effectively teach it. Unless you've taken the subject before, don't take it with Prof. Gaur. Tutors seem to be extremely popular in my class.

He is HORRIBLE. He may know a lot but he cannot teach, he cannot explain anything. He says he has office hours but when you go there he gives you 1 to 3 minutes. He thinks he is a super-star in the wrong place. DO NOT TAKE ANY COURSES WITH HIM.

brilliant teacher but overestimates students understanding. your notes will never make sense. test occasionally have a question you never learned anything about. but all and all not too bad if you have had calc before. get on his good side early. only happened for me b/c he found out i went to the same high school as his kids.
ADVCALC
Horror of a teacher. I still have a bitter taste in my mouth towards this man and his teaching ability. Get on his favorite list early. If you do so, he will like you regardless of any idiotic comments you may make. Essentially, if you stunt the learning of others by asking pointless questions then he will love you.
