Chau classes are super boring. Instead of teaching, he has students deliver power point presentations. It is torture. Furthermore he denied me a letter of recommendation because he is too busy.

Avoid Dr. Chau at all costs. He is dedicated to making students miserable and does not teach. To what extent? To the extent that Dr. Chau would rather talk about his time on the Hill and get acronyms wrong, instead of provide proper feedback and guidance. I repeat, avoid Dr. Chau.

DO NOT TAKE CHAU! As a previous comment mentioned, he is very unclear as to what he wants on assignments. He is pretty much up there lecturing for three hours just to hear himself talk. Overly pretentious and conceited. AVOID!

International relations with this professor. Entered class very interested in the subject, left discouraged from it completely. This class could be much more fun and engaging for students considering how the topics of discussion can affect us. But this professor is overly technical on the subject and his demeanor is way too serious 4 a intro class

Chau is very hard to please, he is never satisfied with your work, and isn't very clear on what he wants. He's a good professor, he just needs to lighten a little.
