Not only is he the most exceptional doctor I know (http://neurosurgery.ucsf.edu/index.php/about_us_residents_yang.html), but he is hands down the most effective and entertaining lecturer I've learned from. His motivation is contagious, which allowed me to excel in his class. I consider myself lucky to have taken a class taught by Isaac.

Dr. Yang is an awesome person no doubt. He's one of the kindest and most inspirational people you will probably ever meet. BUT if it weren't for the generousity of the class and him as a teacher, I honestly wouldn't have gotten by in the class. I don't feel like I have gotten as much as I could have from this class because the vibe was too relaxed.

Isaac is seriously THE MOST influential professor I have had in my academic career. He relates any topic he teaches to real-life scenarios; making the information practical and interesting. Apropos his teaching style, he is an ACTUAL health professional. In fact, b/c he's a neurosurgeon he effectively relates cellular neuroscience to medicine! YES!

Great professor. You will learn a lot!!! Don't think this class is free A class!. You will have to study and work hard but if you study, you will do great in this class. He is extremely friendly and easy to approach. You will have fun learning about neuro!!

Great teacher! He is fair in grading but challenges us to learn as much as possible. He is always accessible and very friendly. He is passionate about the subject and can relay info to students very well. Just the fact that he was able to keep students engaged in a 3hr long Cellular Neuroscience lecture every week says it all.
