Great teacher, I enjoyed all the work with programing and projects. Take if you like science and have time.

Great professor! He was very nice and smart. He does lay out the amount of work you have to do for the grade you want to earn. This isn't your normal physics class, if you want to learn tons of equations and facts don't take him. If you just want to get through physics enjoyably- definitely take him.

Great online physics class if needed. You do your own work to get the grade you deserve.

I would never take another class from david ever! homework and outside work is way too high and almost all the blackboard assignments are totally irrelevant to physics. BEWARE all of your free time will be spent on this class alone.

The work load is clearly outlined at the beginning for each desired letter grade. It is non-traditional learning with lots of hands on examples of the principles. Does require journals and the test are all verbal interviews. If you want someone who truly cares if you learn something, this is a class you want to take. "A True Educator" Thanks David!

Honestly if you are lazy, don't take this class. His teaching methods are a bit bizarre at first, it's very time consuming, but overall I learned a lot and it's definitely better having interviews with him than taking tests.

his instructions are very unclear and it even says that in his syllabus. you get a ton of homework outside of class and have to write in blackboard on the discussion board for a grade. then you have to do pointless videos every week about physics and submit them. Plus he makes you do a program called VPython and all you do it make 3D objects.......

The lesson plan was terrible. It was relating physics to music. It didn't feel like a physics class sadly. I wish we related physics to cool things like cars or astronomy... Halfway through the semester, he decided we had to 2 museums and a lecture to get an A, which wasted lots of money for a grade. And he grades *nothing*. I do not recommend!

Alot of the work is done outside of class and also the learning is based on you. He tells you what to learn and you go learn it and then he interviews you about what you learned. Alost of complainers are peopel who hated the work as with anything well you gotta 'work'

Would NOT recommend at all. More of a technology class than anything. Group work spent outside of class was ridiculous.

Ran class very weird. He would teach how to write a computer application before telling you the three laws of motion. This is a physics class not a CIS class.

Horrible. Especially if you are wanting to actually learn physics. Instead we talk too much about technology/controversial topics. I sometimes feel like i'm in a non science class. Group work is not practical.

If you like to learn, don't mind putting the work in, and would rather have an interview than a test, this class is for you. There is little math. Dr. Weaver is a top notch individual who has methods to his madness. You will learn more about how to think than what to think. The negative posts you see most likely are due to the amount of time req'd.

Freaking hard class! He wants you to spend about 8 hours a week outside the class. Anybody that has other classes and work you will have you hands full with this class. You learn a lot if you want to. I you just want to pass you won't learn a thing.

If you are preparing to take the MCAT or OAT, DO NOT take him. There is no math in this class. If you are just taking phy to fulfill a science need definitely take him. David is a really cool guy. Fun teacher. You will learn a lot about life and how to make some really cool stuff. No math so if you are taking the MCAT you need a tudor.
