She is a great professor. She brings in multiple articles and adds. Not only do we read articles but watch documentaries. She is really laid back and makes you feel comfortable

Professor Jafar is by far one of the best professors at Conn. She is brilliant. The articles she assigns are very interesting and easy to understand for the most part. I love that her classes are pretty discussion based. I would recommend checking out her TedTalk and taking a class with her if you ever have the opportunity. She really is the best.

She's alright to look at but it is impossible to sit there and listen to her. She's a feminist, so taking a sociology class with her is difficult considering her views are quite biased. She's obsessed with the fact that she is a minority. Very easy though, frequently cancels class, no attendance policy.

She is a great professor...waaaaay cooler outside the classroom and loved to share funny stories about Pakistan. She however expects a lot from the students and tries to be as clear of what she wants us to do. But if you work hard and are interested in the material, you will have a ball. Otherwise, I feel sorry for you guys as you suffer.
