Although he goes off on tangents *a lot*, this class is small (7 people) and I think he teaches best in small classes. He knows a lot about many things and is generally a very sweet guy. Just know that he might not always answer your questions in class and that you might get really frustrated with the tangents.

I had him for Literature of the French Renaissance, and it was pretty boring. I don't think I gained very much from it, but we did read Gargantua, which I guess is impressive.
