This class is ok. if your willing to read the book and try to gain knowledge off of it. moslty all the information and knowledge well come from the book. she doesnt lecture, she side tracks alot, and is absent alot! however she gives take home exam and extra credit. But grades partially harsh!

One of the BEST professors at the school. Those who complain about her 101 class did not keep up with the textbook. She is an expert sociologist and wonderful teacher who gives very clear instructions about what you need to do to succeed in her class. Complainers are expecting to be spoon-fed, as another reviewer pointed out.

I have no idea what class these few people were in, but she was a truly dedicated teacher, who took great pride in connecting with her students in a way that they could all understand. She brought humor, current events, and educational information to the classroom. I wasn't an A student and I still use her life and educational teachings today!,

She is a great teacher and very funny. She knows how to apply the topic to real life, but as for the class over all it was very difficult. If you do not like writing essays in APA format I suggest u don't take her class.

Mrs Troup NEVER stays on topic. instead, she delves into her personal life and opinions. She canceled most of our assignments due to students not doing them properly, basically punishing the whole class. She was absent for nearly 3 weeks because of health problems. And we had to SPEEEEED through the rest of our material due to our canceled classes.

She was fun, but I did not learn much, and there was a lot of personal talk, and not enough lecture. In addition, she completely changed the course in one day and through us all off, however I would Love just to hangout with her and hear all her jokes

Her stories and jokes are pretty fun but i think that she should be teaching the class instead of doing that for more than half of the class. Then she acts very surprised when most of her students are failing the class. She should really consider teaching and not talking about her dogs, life, ect.

She was very unclear with her final essay. If you want to get a decent grade then study the book. Her lectures cover about 10% of the exam. She gets off topic a lot. I do not recommend.

By far the worst teacher at Cerritos College. If you want to listen to 15 minutes of her whispering and 75 minutes of Lindsey Lohan jokes then go ahead and attempt to take this class. On the in class exams the grades turn out like so: 2 B's, 4 C's 15 D's 39 F's. Absolutely ridiculous class. No notes, no reviews, no ANYTHING! HATE HATE HATE!

She takes up half of the class asking for opinions and going on about her personal life. A nice person, but goes on to expect a 6 page essay about information she barely covered. I DO NOT recommend her.

She's a tough teacher, and her lectures pertain to the book. Read the book and take good notes. Team up with other classmates, and you'll profit. Don't expect it to be like high school, or middle school like the rest of these whiners. It's college level work, and it demands your effort to succeed. If you still fail, take remedial classes.

She is very unclear about the assignments, never stays on topic, and her lectures do not pertain to what is on the tests whatsoever. This course made me lose interest in a subject that is fascinating to me. I would never recommend this professor.

This professor is an expert in her field. You won't do well if you don't read the book and keep up. Students who complain about her method are probably disappointed because info is not spoon-fed. It's college, grow up!

Class was simple. Attend class, read your text book (because not much will be covered during class) and take advantage of her extra credit points (she gives many). Most exams were take home and still many students complain that they get D's... Do your part and you will pass. I got an 'A'.

WORST "TEACHER" EVER. DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO TEACH! She didn't even give us enough opportunities to earn enough points in the class!! came to every class and sat through pointless lectures about drugs and peoples baby mama drama all for nothing! still received a D. DO NOT TAKE HER. WASTE OF TIME.

This is by far the worst teacher I've ever had! There is absolutely no point in attending her class, she talk about non sense. Her essays are extremely hard; the majority of the class drops the course. DO NOT TAKE HER.

This is THE WORST professor EVER!!! I wish I wouldve payed attention to these comments instead of taking her class. Its almost impossible to pass her class, she is NOT helpful, boring, will drop you if you miss 2-3 classes and redicules students for entertainment purposes. You work so hard for a good grade and in the end it wont matter.
