Nice professor. Lots & lots of reading. Online class requires groupwork involving writing out definitions and answering essay questions which are posted to blackboard. Didn't like format due to poor group member participation. Exams were open book, essay format. Recommend class to someone who really likes history. I was totally bored.

HIST1030 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Be prepared to read, read and then read some more. Then be prepared to write, write and write just as much. However, he presents the information well. Of course, it helps if you have at least a mild interest in history to start with. I took this as a DE course. And, now way around it, there was a LOT of reading and writing involved.

The class is rather boring. It was very difficult to follow along and keep up with what he was talking about. But he does try to help with whatever his students need.

HIST1000 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Great professor. Took his course over a summer and there was a lot of material to cover. He doesn't stick to deadlines too much and will allow you to turn in assignments late if needed. This prof loves teaching. He loves students. And he knows his history. Only wish I could find more classes he taught in my field, but, I'm in Biology, so no dice.

Hist1050 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

helps as much as he can. even give extra credit. when the quiz grades are all low he gives extra points. as long as you go to class and seem interested you'll do fine.

HIST1030 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

GREAT PROFESSOR! If you attend class and make an effort in class he will bend over backwards to help you out in class. Do the readings each week and you will do fine on the quizes. He is always willing to help you out with anything you do not understand; however, you must show up to class and show interest. Best teacher, by far, at ECU...

GREAT TEACHER... very helpful. there is no midterm or final. all you have is 2 papers. one due in oct. the other in dec. fairly easy papers too. I was glad he was my professor. just make sure you do your work... he drops 2 or 3 quiz grades and 2 or 3 group labs. but i would suggest doing them and get extra credit.
