VSC 438 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Sterling is funny and does a great job of discussing his portion of the course. He does talk fast sometimes, so I would highly recommend a tape recorder for any of his classes since his PowerPoint is only pictures.

Extremely interesting and easy class. If you have any interest at all about learning more about parasites or viruses I would suggest taking the class. He has so many experiences to share that make him one of the most interesting people I've ever met in my life.

MIC195 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This class is an easy 1 credit class considering there's only 4 short written assignments. His lectures are interesting since he'll talk about his experiences & research. He rarely goes into scientific details of parasites or have a full powerpoint that will help you in your assignments tho.

VSC195D Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Super fun class. I only took it because I needed a one credit, but it ended up being really interesting. He is really enthusiastic and has a lot of experience with parasites. If you really don't like hearing stories about diarrhea you probably shouldn't take this class.

This class was one of the best I've taken. The prof has 25 years of reaserch in Peru so he knows what he's talking about. He is also willing to help by e-mail or in-person. Take this class if you are interested in parasites and diseases. Only 4 assigments

VSC405R Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Excellent instructor. One of my two fav. professors ever. He puts hardly any text on his slides because everything he teaches is in his head, which is the best way to teach IMO. My only complaint is that he goes super fast. There is no way I could have taken decent notes without my laptop. An audio recorder would be super useful in this course.

Awesome class! Dr. Sterling is very knowledgeable about parasitology. His test format takes a little getting used to, but he provides you with all the information you need to know, no surprises. Content covers very relevant world health diseases and the challenges involved in controlling them. This class makes a great upper vet or micro elective!

It is a really easy class, he does not take attendance and the final is a paper about a disease that you research or make up.
