Terrible class. Maybe she is a good professor in her other classes, but this was hell. I am a straight A student and I received my first (and only) C. Do not take this class unless you are an expert and have background knowledge. Whatever the hell she tried to teach us, it didn't stick. Tests ridiculous, grades hard, study guides not helpful.

Professor Wood is very cute and nice, but I think she got sick of trying halfway through the semester, and lost a lot of enthusiasm because the class was mostly non-responsive. But she's a very smart lady, and this class is very easy if you take the time to study! She gives a very comprehensive study guide, and lots of extra credit!

Basically a class where we learned everything about monkeys. Only 4 tests(including the final). Gives study guides where she tells you everything you need to know. Some pop quizes and out of class assignments. Overall pretty easy to get a decent grade.

Worst teacher I've had at U of A. She is extremely unhelpful and uninformative. Her lectures are boring, her lecture slides are awful and her test don't make any sense. She can't even decipher her own questions. No practice problems or study guides are posted for the final leaving you with 16 chapters to relearn for a hour long final. She sucks.

Here's the thing, Liz is probably the worst part of the University of Arizona. She only cares about EEB research and her credentials. She can't reason her way through the course and it seems like she was probably put in the director position as a punishment. The department should definitely reevaluate her going into the future.

Dr. Wood's home department is EEB. With that being said, be prepared to brush up on molecular biology and genetics. I enjoyed the class, but I know that others were frustrated with her because she got so caught up in the molecular aspects of it all and didn't really know how to put it in context of ANTH. But she did curve, so that was a plus.

This class was split between 3 professors. Dr. Woods' section was BY FAR the hardest out of the three. GO TO LECTURE and pay attention or you will be confused when it comes time to study. Although multiple choice, her questions are long and wordy and require a good amount of critical thinking. Read the book, some stuff is not in the powerpoints.

As long as you know the material you will do fine on the test. She makes it really easy to understand

These labs were honestly the biggest waste of time. The UA needs to review their bio labs because all of these labs were computer based kindergarten level activites, that were all mostly busywork. They scheduled activities for the entire lab time just so that no one could leave early.

Genetics Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Really hard class and waaay too much material for the summer but I didn't study as much as I should have. She gives practice exams that are similar to the real exams which were good but still didn't do well. The problem sets brought my grade up - she will tell you if you have the right answer on those.

Dr. Wood is a great teacher - very helpful. Her lectures were good and she knows the material but there was so much to learn in such a short period of time (I took this class in the summer.)

This is a great class if you really want to learn biology. A lot of material was covered but Dr. Wood made the material easy to understand. She went out of her way to help me and other students. This is a good course but be prepared to work at it.

Class consists of four tests and a final so it's important you go to class and do the homework. The tests aren't hard however - very similar to the homework. Wood is a good teacher, the class is worth taking.

This is probably the most difficult class that I have ever taken. It is all problem solving. I hated it but Dr. Wood did her best to help me through the material. I may have done better if I had studied more.
