Ogletree makes class interesting and funny. Up to 5 points extra credit on each test. To get an A on the test you need to go to class and do the HW. The most helpful thing to study for test is to redo the HW. She uses a bunch of questions from it and it really helps you understand the topic. Good class; Easy A.

Really easy if you didn't have to go to class. She takes partic. w/clickr easy questions. Has a nice grading system 4 test participation and HW. Mastering biology is also easy. Studying is not hard go over powerpoints and skim through book and answer the review questions on end of each chapt.(she likes to use those)...no final just chapter tests.

Overall, I liked Prof. Ogletree. She likes to goof around and be silly during her lectures, which can be distracting at times. As long as you read the textbook, go over her powerpoint notes veryy carefully, and review what she tells you you need to know, the tests should be fairly easy.

I'm not a Bio major, but I took this class since it fit into my schedule. I got an A. Go to class, read the chapters ahead of time, and give yourself at least a week to study for the tests. Plenty of extra credit available. Dr. Ogletree cares about her students and tries to make her class interesting and funny. I recommend taking her class.

She doesn't make her class difficult and offers plenty of extra credit with clicker questions and other activites.Read over notes and attend class and you will do well. She lectures directly off of notes.Personality wise I dislike her,she interrupts every other sentence with a random thought such as a craving she's having. Annoying and distracting.

Take this class! It's not difficult as long as you attend class (clicker questions are 5 bonus points on the test), read the book, and do the practice problems at the end of each chapter (they're usually test questions). She goes super fast, but no one can really teach you biology, it's just something you have to study yourself. Take her class!!!

She's very funny and explains topics clearly. Her tests were very easy and reading sections on the topics covered in powerpoints really helped. Easy A!

Ogletree moves through the slides pretty fast but its because she has a lot of material to cover. If you read the assigned chapters before coming to class, she makes it easier to understand. Know your material and you should get an A on the test. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and the HW is really easy.

I absolutely hated going to her class. The only reason I went was because of daily clicker questions. She doesn't really teach much but just read straight off the powerpoint. Her tests are relatively easier than other bio professors but you're on your own. She does give quite some extra credit so take advantage of it.

Dr. O is an amazing teacher! People who fail or get lower than an A just aren't trying. she makes it as simple as she can, you have to study and not just know definitions but you also have to apply what you know to real life situations! If you truly study the class is a breeze she is a funny, good, smart teacher I would love to take her againI<3drO

She has a good sense of humor and is very goofy in class. I felt like I was prepared for each test, but each test was always more difficult than I thought. You really have to know the ins and outs of all the concepts presented. You cannot get by just knowing definitions or locations...you have to know processes and different cycles FORWARDS and BACKWARDS. Recitation was helpful. I will be lucky if I get a B, which is disappointing because I am use to getting As.

Ogletree is very helpful if you're willing to learn. People that want to spoon fed material will find her difficult though. Bio is a difficult subject to teach, but she explains very well and it's easy to understand if you know the material before you go to class. Her tests are ALWAYS fair and she gives extra credit points for every test, up to 5.

Her teaching is not very clear. She moves thru slides like butter, you don't understand anything because of this. Her notes are fine but you have to memorize them to pass. Her tests are easyish but the questions asked are only 30% from notes. She assumes that you know everything. Overall there was not one day I did not fall asleep in her class.

This class is not easy, unless you read every chapter and read every slide. Extra credit is not given and she doesn't believe in curves. So good luck if you're just trying to goof around in this class.

I love her! I made an easy A in her class by looking over her slides before the exam and reading the book. She gives a lot of extra credits through clicker questions, and the good thing about her exams is that it is not at CASA [i hate that place] but in class

Lecture was utterly useless due to the fact that she lectures at such a low-intelligence level, but tests you at a much higher level. Also useless because she just reads powerpoints. You will be good if you read the material, which isn't even terribly demanding. Nice lady, can be helpful. Extra credit was worth like 1 point per test.

Dr. Ogletree's tests were more application-based rather than definition based, which makes it more difficult but forces you to learn the material. Read the text and you'll do well. Dr. Ogletree's lectures are engaging, she curves exams when needed, and offers tons of extra credit during the semester.

Her lectures are basically just reading off the slides and attendance is not mandatory. She sometimes have surprise clicker quizzes for extra credit points. 4 exams - 90% and masteringbiology hw -10%. In-class exams, which in my opinion are easier than Dr. Knapp's which are in CASA. Book not required but need to buy masteringbiology account.

If you're a pro at independent study, then consider this professor. All she does in class is speed through slides of the book material without taking questions. She won't be any help to you, so if you need to communicate with a professor and ask questions, she ain't the one for you.
