FIN-601 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: B+

Classes are extremely boring and unproductive. Test come exactly from book, online quizzes and homework. Do not expect to learn from class and his power-points. If you are not able to teach yourself you will struggle with this teacher. Teacher will also occasionally curve test and is a nice guy overall and will grant things like cheat sheets.

FIN 351 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Avoid if possible. No help from him at all! doesn't respond to emails or calls. You will be by your own the whole semester. Tests are hard and not similar to homework. As he said you have a book to prepare for exams, so don't expect to get a review sheet or any kind of explanations

Horrible professor. The guy doesn't know what he is doing. Exams are impossible. For your own good I would recommend taking someone else.

This is one of the worst professors i've ever had. totally unrealistic expectations for the course. hard quizzes and even harder tests. No consistency between homework, quizzes, and tests. What you see on the tests is completely different from everything gone over. Doesn't take teaching seriously. Don't make yourself miserable and take this class.

By far one of the worst professors I've ever had. It's like he has no idea what happening in the class. It took him over an hour to help us with 3 problems of which he was confused on how to do them. His study guides if you get one only distract you from what might be on the actual test.

you want to have fun through college, and not so much study? you'll have time to learn on the job... just take the class, you wont loose any sleep over these tests. do your best to get practice questions before the test and practice those.

Really bad professor. Tests, homework and quizzes are all unrelated. He only covers concepts in class with powerpoints, and doesn't show how to do actual finance problems. It takes him forever to post things online and he gave us the final review guide two days before the exam. Don't bother calling or emailing him. Takes 2 weeks for a response

Very nice guy but probably the worst professor I have ever had. Knows the material but just can't teach. He goes over power-points in class on vocab but the homework and tests are all math related. Doing the homework is almost impossible since he doesn't show how to do them. Also takes 2 weeks to respond to an email. STAY AWAY

I have not received a grade yet but from what I have heard from other students, it's a guarantee pass ( If you come to class and actually try). If you need help, I highly recommend speaking to him in person. The class is not easy. Must have a lot of available time, especially if you take this course in 6 weeks.

Hes a nice teacher. He will go over problems but you HAVE TO ASK specific questions that you need help with or it may go unaswered. Do the homeworks you should be fine. I got a D on the first test and stil managed to come out with a B. Relaxed teaching style.

He really is a great guy. Very nice and friendly. However, he plain cannot teach. He will literally spend an hour straight talking about non-course or finance related material. He has no structure to his class, both on a daily basis and the semester as a whole. Good luck knowing your grade before the last day of the semester. Worst teacher ever.

Great guy, but... though I made it out of Russ Raimers class alive, his class is hard and his approach could improve. HW, quizzes, and tests had q's drawn out of a test bank that's hundreds of q's. You cant just do the hw and quizzes and then take the test, little continuity. He should develop a ciriculum that develops better conceptual skills

BE READY FOR TONS OF HOMEWORK, QUIZZES AND 60+ QUESTIONS ON TEST. COMPREHENSIVE FINAL... HOMEWORK & QUIZZES ONLINE NOTHING GOES OR GROWS TOGETHER. POWERPOINTS IN CLASS. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS INSTRUCTOR IF YOU ARE NOT AN ACCOUNTING FOR FINANCE MAJOR!

Russ is great! He is helpful and you will leave the class knowing the material. Catch him in his office, he is extremely helpful. I went to him several times for help with FIN 601. He will curve grades and gives you extra credit opportunities if you ask for them. I wish he was teaching Fin 601. I highly recommend him and would take him again!

Took an online class with him. He's horrible at answering emails, doesn't following the time line in his syllabus, and changes the style of his tests each time. He also doesn't grade anything during the semester so you have no idea if you are doing problems correctly or not. It is almost impossible to finish some sections of his timed tests.

Prof. Raimer's a great guy. He'll work with you to understand the material, and even make time in his schedule to assist you. His tests are very HARD, but I can almost PROMISE you that he'll curve the grade and pass you(unless you're getting F's). Took him 4 times (4 classes). You will learn a lot and pass. Go ahead

Oh Raimer...great guy. Just a jolly ol' accountant turned finance professor. Not always the best when it comes to explaining the material. Financial Statement Analysis is a GREAT course w/ an excellent textbook. You will be using the things learned in the field and I feel much more confident having taking it. Be ready to read and teach yourself!

Knows his stuff, but sometimes can be difficult to understand when he's teaching from the book, you learn more from him by talking about real world applications. Tests are hard, but if you do the homework and READ THE BOOK, you will get an A. The test questions are straight from the book and he gives a study guide.

Good teacher, funny too. He knows the material and the world of finance inside and out and is fun to talk to about it. Helpful.I think we got screwed bc the text book we used had a lot of errors and wasn't written very well. There is homework, points for attendance, and the exams aren't ever easy but if you study and do your work you'll do well.
