Gavin brown is a quiet but intelligent professor. I really enjoyed his class and all of the subjects that we discussed. We discussed a lot of social issues. BEWARE, he is very strict with his deadlines. I did not pass his class because he did not take my final paper. A 9 page paper went to the trash because I was 40 mins late to his class .

"There for you" "Get ready to read" "Gives good feedback"

The book he chose for the text book was really boring and monotonous

I am not sure what is going on, but the whole semester I feel like we haven't done anything productive. Other English classes are reading novels and writing more. We have 3 essays he entire semester, a term paper, and a presentation. It's not hard work, but it's not what i expected from a college level class, especially coing from high school AP.

Patient, nice, helpful but boring professor. I recommend talking in that class cuz once u make him laugh he opens up & he doesn't seem so boring. He is a very helpful professor. & extra-cred if u go to the english center.

Mr. Brown, this guy knows his stuff when it comes to English. His class is rigorous and at times demanding. He doesn't give the work that he does for burdening students, it's because he genuinely wants his students to succeed. You will be challenged, but in the end will be glad that he prepared you for the reality of what's to come. Great teacher.

Took this class over the summer. If you will not be able to dedicate a lot of time and effort to an 8 week summer course I would not take it. A lot of people were non hackers and dropped. His class is interesting, as we discuss various topics. He expects textbook papers. He is helpfull, and his rigorous paper expectations has made other papers easy
