This is my second class with Dr. Levine. He is an AWESOME professor and is super knowledgeable. I learn a lot in his classes! I am a history major and having taken classes with many different history professors at MCC, he is the best. Keep up with the quizzes, check-in assignments, and book reviews and you'll do fine. One of MCC's best teachers!!!

Dr. Levine was an Amazing Teacher! He kept the class's attention and gave the information with stories. 3 in class quizzes, 2 book reports, and an online quiz every other week on the textbook chapters. Not a float class, but with effort its not hard to pass. I recommend this teacher for any and all history classes he offers.

Pretty funny guy. All you got to do is take notes, do the online quizzes and a few book reports which are a large part of your grade. He is pretty knowledgeable and i would recommend him if you have to take history.

Be prepared to read and write quite a bit. He will give you clear instruction, and is great at answering questions. He even allows student challenges on exams, because the online exams are glitchy. I loved all of the stats he gave us.

He makes the class very fun and gives you chances to do what needs to be done. Just make sure you do the book reviews, both of them, and try your best in the class. That is all he asks of you.

Me makes history SOOO interesting! and I have NEVER lived history! You DO have to 2 book reviews (NOT Research, so you don't have to read all of the book). And the quizzes you take in groups, with the book and you can take it twice and sometimes more. Lots of Vocab from the Lectures but that's all it is , Vocab NEVER dates!

I took the online class. All learning was textbook or books required for 2 book reports - no lecture. Book reports were 45% of grade. Assignments were fairly graded, but a little difficult to understand. He added a couple of assignments with little notice, so if you take this class pay close attention to the calendar. Text quizzes were open book.

Online class is pretty straightforward. Online quizzes on the textbook and two book reports. I liked the book reports and the corresponding assignments, but generally I felt like I could have learned about as much by reading the two books and the textbook without the class. Online audio/video lectures would enhance the class.

Online class. Real structured and had all the due dates on the calendar from day one, so no surprises at all. 2 book reviews, just follow directions and all will be fine. Quizzes were tough, make sure you study for them. Also he has check-ins, make sure you get those done too, helps with the book reviews. Overall great class A+

He's a pretty chill teacher! Not too much homework. You only have to do two book reports, three exams, and a couple quizzes. Remember to keep up with the check-in assignments though, because he doesn't remind you of them.

Great Prof! Loved his HIS 104 class and got an easy A. Be sure to turn in your checkin's on time and read your books for your two book reports. If you stay on top of your work and pay attention in class (his lectures are great) then you'll do fine. I would take another class of his again in a heartbeat!

All work is out of books. I took HIS102 online: 2 book reviews, 9 tests, 8 checkin assignments that serve as attendance primarily--each checkin is beneficial because it is a crucial part of the book reviews. Unlimited time is allotted on each quiz--you learn as you take the test. Overall, great professor, straightforward work, no BS.

I took HIS 100 and 101 with Prof. Levine. His online class was great. Unlimited time on the chapter tests and two book reviews, any assignments he gives are part of the book reviews. Class is very straightforward and Prof. Levine is super helpful and generous grader. Really enjoyed these classes, highly recommended.

I wouldn't take him again. He's disorganized. There are two huge book reports, he had an excellent book list to select from. Also a group project on American Revolution. Heavy work volume, slow at reporting grades and answering emails. He lectures, but doesn't "teach."

He is an amazing teacher, and although the tests and quizzes are difficult you get to take all of them outside of class and use your book on all of them except for the final. Barely got an A but I don't regret my hard work for the grade because he was awesome and I had fun.

Best history instructor I've ever had.Knows his subject and presents it in an exciting manner. He has you do "Check-in" assignments every week or two; they're not difficult and if you do them well then you'll find your two book reviews will write themselves.

Eh I think he'd be a great teacher for History buffs! He was just ok for a girl like me (this is my least favorite subject). I spent 4+ hours on an online exam the first month, and the grading got messed up. Now it's the last week of classes and I still don't know my grade on it! He was my only teacher this semester who didn't even know my name :(

Great teacher!very interested in the subject, humorous, helpful. if uattend class, take good notes +study, the tests aren't hard. He required book reviews from historians. 5 pages, pick 3 topics from book + authorBG. I didn't read the books100% and got A's but he says he is strict on grading. I had to get a good concept of what the book was about.

Levine is such a great teacher. Probably the most memorable of all my teachers in my 2 years at MCC. Great guy and easy to understand. Makes great jokes and is really considerate with assignments and essays and grading. I can't say enough good about Mr. Levine. :)
