This is not an easy gened.Its not just common sense because she makes it so detailed. If you dont want to study alot dont take this class. There are over 1,00 slides of information on the final exam. too much info and in depth info for A GEOLOGY GENED.
GEOL 110
Professor is crystal clear and honest. There are no surprises in this class. Attendance is not mandatory, but is encouraged. Professor understands this is A GedEd class, and does not have too high expectations of the students. Two multiple choice tests-40 questions each, and a 100 question final. Weekly vocabulary on Blackboard. No papers.

She is SO nice and is really interested in the subject she teaches. The weekly vocab helps boost your grade and the tests are based off the powerpoints. She is a GREAT teacher.

cindy is so sweet!!!! i love her!!!!!!! lectures are interesting and are not mandatory!!!! you will never use the textbook so don't buy it! powerpoints are enough for her exams! i got an A and i had never open my textbook.

Her passion for geology is evident. Not a difficult class, and you leave knowing more than you expected. She wants her students to succeed and it shows. Take her class!

She is really passionate about geology, and tries hard to relate the class material to your life. She and her TA's are available to help. Tests aren't too bad, only what she covers in class. She always posts her lecture slides. I would definitely recommend to take this class (especially as a GenEd). I enjoyed the class.

I loved having Professor Kearns for Geology. She always wants you to be as interested in the class as she is to rocks. Tests are easy if you study and purely lecture based; Lab can be tough, but if you ask questions, you'll be okay. Definitely take her class; You'll be satisfied.

LOVED CINDY! she was so enthusiastic about rocks it made you want to learn about them too. Class is lecture based and tests are not really that hard. Lab tests are tricky but there are only two and if you study they aren't that bad. Lab usually gets out early. Lecture PowerPoints get put on blackboard. TAKE HER!!!

The lab tests are insane unless you enjoy memorizing 70 rocks and minerals by name. Sounds more like a major class than the simple gen ed its supposed to be

An interesting class and a wonderful professor. She is very fun and energetic and explains things clearly. Tests cover a lot of material, but if you study you will do fine. If you need to take Geol 110, take her.

The lecture is the most boring thing ever and the tests are really hard. Lab is fun sometimes and boring other times. Never keeps you the whole time in lab. Go to her for help and you should pass the class.

If you do the work, her class is fun and interesting. If you're not into the material, you should probably take an easier science credit. She's lots of fun and helps you along the way.
