Took this class online. Weekly discussion postings and critical thinking questions to submit There is a paper involved, midterm and final are also essay format. This class is not worth taking when you are only doing it for GE. Take something else that involves less writing instead. She likes having this due on Thursdays for some reason

Amazing class that really opens up your mind to the challenges that women of color faced in the past. Exam is straight from the notes so study! Not too much work or too little. Final paper is on a topic of your choice and is not too hard. Lectures are very fun and engaging to the students. I highly recommend this class and this professor to all!

Take this class if you like a lot of homework and love to read. On top of that you will have 1 Civic Engagement Project, 4 Journals, 1 Group Project, 1 Mid-term(essay), 1 Final( six pg. essay) Good Luck !!

i took her class last year. got a C+. i wish i had done a better job at the 7-8 page final essay. the midterm questions weren't too clear. although her tests come straight from her pp slides. you have to take fast notes. not everything is in the book that she mentions. better be fast.

She is a great teacher,but she is a not easy teacehr. But if u really want to learn something , you must take her classes!! I had a lof of fun in her classes, she is a really educated woman ~!!

AWESOME professor. This class was a ton of fun and really interesting. There is, however, A LOT of reading, so if you don't like to read, this isn't the class for you.

i took prof. lewis for women of color in the U.S. she's a pretty chill prof. but a hard grader and doesn't offer much help. reading the textbook might help, but all the chapters sound alike about oppression and privilege.

This class is very interesting in that it allows you to participate from your own experience. She is somewhat of a hard grader, but she is more than willing to help. Extra credit available. She is a funny and cool professor, definitely recommend. 1 midterm, 1 final, group presentation, and assignments.

She is a great teacher. I was not expecting much from the class, but she will teach you some life learning skills. Fair amount of homework, and reading. She is strict about assignments. One of the must take class if you are thinking what to take for G.E. You won't be disappointed.
