Professor Hart is a brilliant economist who really cares about his students' success. He spends hours helping students individually and has no problem repeating the same material for you if you don't understand. He talks fast but encourages students to speak up if he's going too fast. Great professor!

Hardest class I've ever taken at Miami but one of the smartest profs I've ever had. He knows his material and you can really learn from him. He offers lots of office hours and is always willing to help.

Hardest class I have taken yet at Miami. A lot of work and the grades you get are the three tests. As that is said, he is one of the best teachers I've had. He knows what he is talking about and is passionate about it. Really enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Excellent class and professor and recommend if you want to learn and push yourself.

Dr. Hart goes through the material very fast. I tried making an appointment with him during office hours but he never showed up. He has been a prof. for a long time and indeed prides himself on being difficult. I think he is intelligent, but a horrible at making sure students are learning the material. ASK QUESTIONS if you take this class!

Very tough teacher and he flies through the material. However his course text( his own material) is probably the best text I have ever used in school. If you work hard and visit office hours you can do well. This class is not a walk in the park but will teach you a huge amont.

Hardest class I have ever taken at Miami, but Hart is great at making things clear. His exams are very difficult and you have to put in a ton of effort. Read the handouts, do the problem sets, and go to office hours..pretty much the only reason why I got a B- when i should have got a C. He is very helpful though, & he makes class interesting.

Very hard to follow in class (just talks and talk, sometimes off subject), does not use a book or supplemental material. Tests are very difficult - ruined my GPA.

If you take this class, you will ruin your GPA. Trust me. Suffering through a semester of Hart's class is not worth it. He prides himself on difficulty.

His exams are very very very hard. Almost didn't get into the business school because of this class

Hard. The class made me feel inadequate. Tests are hard as hell, and he flew through the material even if students didn't understand. The "handouts" are 20+ pages of tough reading in the text he wrote. Problem sets were tough, he expected us to turn them in but didn't give us letter grades for them.

Incredibly tough class. I had taken Macro previously, but was NOT prepared for his class. Do the problem sets, they help with your final grade. And visit him during office hours. He gave me a high B when I deserved a low C because of how much time I spent in his office, asking questions. Don't be afraid to challenge his views either.

Dr. Hart is the best professor I have had at Miami. If you focus and actually try in the class it is not as bad as everyone says. You learn A LOT and he is always helpful with office hours. Real funny guy too

317 with this joker is impossible, talks ridiculously fast and writes even faster, hard to pay attention to the material when all you do is try to keep up with the notes. As for exams, I am at the risk of failing the class and Im a senior bus.econ major, wtf???

His exams are TOUGH. But I found class pretty interesting. He's a nice guy. Freely speaks his opinions. Reading the book was very important as he goes pretty quickly during lecture.

Dropped this class after the 2nd class and I was looking forward to taking it. Hart talks extremely fast and does not stay on topic very long. Only positive that I can say is that he speaks freely and I didn't have to see one of his tests...

Tough class, but you are sure to learn more than you ever will in any other class. Really challenges students. Great guy, go visit him in office hours, it will most def. help.

Hes a great guy, loves nascar, great conservative. After the class average on the 1st exam was a low D (and he doesn't curve at all) more than HALF THE CLASS DROPPED!. I liked him but he is a ridiculous grader. Most are thrilled with low C.
