Changed my perspective. Really good. Maybe he is a little lazy (heavy on videos), but he doesn't require you to work particularly hard either. Still, very thought provoking, read to help and discuss things.

cool guy, hard class, assembly language, must go to class(no roll) but you can't miss material that he teachs. go to ofice hours and labs and get to know him, he'll like you and help you out. prgrams are hard and so are tests, go to class, pay attention, do the hw and go to office hours, should be ok

I took assembly language programming with him. He is not helpful, his lectures are boring and my final grade did not reflect my work. He liked to use something he wrote as his textbook which was almost as useless as his teaching. He is definitely one of the worst teachers in the CSCI department.

One good thing is that he sometimes allows time in class for the problems because "i know you won't do them on your own". He also realizes that we only retain 10% of what he says. His grading IS arbitrary within exams, but if you go to class and maybe a few office hours, and do your projects, you should do fine. That's all i did and i got an A.
