He is a really great professor who knows what he's talking about. Very sarcastic and loves giving his opinions about movies. His lectures are straightforward and informative. 2 in-class essays, a midterm, and 2 outside of class essays. Great class if you're into film.

Smart guy. He's knows a lot about what he's teaching, and is passionate about it. I wasn't looking forward to film theory class but I can say that he made it interesting, I enjoy it. Show an interest and he'll be on your side. Solid professor.

He plays favorites. Power hungry. Teaches the class literally by the book. Very oppionated. Be on his good side or you are screwed. 2 in class essays, 2 out of class essays (research), midterm.

Sarcastic, pretty boring but relatively easy.

Reinsch is very by the book, he doesn't stray away from talking about the textbook or Barsam (the author). The class isn't very interesting because it's so cut and dry. He has a lot of information and he's intelligent, but he isn't good at relaying that information to a class and being an actual teacher.

Great professor! Learned a lot in the class. 2 essays, midterm and final. He expects you to know your stuff, but not a hard grader.

He's a very knowledgeable professor in his subject, however, he expects a lot from a freshmen level course. He grades extremely hard and expects perfection in both papers and exams. Be prepared.
