ANTH 215
Loved this class. Definitely have to be feminist, but only at basics. Challenges core assumptions, but in a good way. Not too difficult, but lots of reading.
ANTH215
Asks us to do extensive scholarly readings with two discussion questions posted as homework for each class. We never used discussion questions however. You need to have excellent writing skills to pass. Crazy readings that are interesting and a little out there. Avoid if you are not a extreme feminist.
ANTH215
Avoid this class if you do not subscribe to hardcore feminist perspective. Attendance not necessary, but suggested if you want to do well on the midterm and final. Pine tends to brag about her work often, which gets pretty irritating. Wish I had spent my time + money on a more interesting gen ed.

this class is not the easy A class kinda thing. you need to attend the class to know whats going on then you have to write boring papers. your grade depends on which TA is going to grade it make sure to encounter the best one

I'm an anthro major, and I hated this class. She lies to her students about absences, openly bullied students, and grades ridiculously difficult for what she asks for. If you ask her to explain why you received the grade you did, she'll tell you "it's because of your writing" and send you on your way. Worst class I've taken at AU.
ANTH215
Best class ever!! You learn sooo much! She's a great teacher! Very passionate and personable. You only have to create two discussion questions each class as hw. And the only essays you write are for a conference, and the midterm and final. Definitely a class worth taking. I don't regret it at all
ANTH215
a class worth to take! two take-home long essay exams on readings (online), 2-page essay on a conference and in-class discussion.
ANTH215
Brilliant, passionate, assigns very interesting readings, moderate amount of work but SO worth it. Favorite class so far at AU.
