This class is heavy on reading. Some you can find on sparknotes though. Lots of group discussion. Class is very discussion based, but we had a ton of quiet people so only a couple would discuss with Janel. I think it might make her a little frustrated but she's super nice and quirky. Easy class to pass. Tests are super easy if you know material.

She definitely know her stuff. She is extremely non-bias. You need to show up for class because she writes notes on the board. She is also easy on grading the 5 one page papers that are due throughout the semester. She makes writing them easy because you decide when you write them. Warning though do not wait until the last day to submit the papers.

Best teacher I have ever had she often extended the due dates and made learning very fun. Class discussions are hilarious and she is amazing.

She was boring and her voice dragged on, but she knew about her stuff and was excited. She gave few assignments and the one she gave were easy and short. She gives reviews for her tests and her tests really follow her review.

Very sharp, always on point, very clear about material and expectations. Do the work and you'll get a good grade. Really knows her stuff.

Very easy to get a good grade. Book is mandatory since the class is all about readings from the text. Class can be boring but she opens up the opportunity to discuss the content of the readings. The more discussion and debate, the more interesting the class is.

She seems as if she doesn't know anything. Ask a question, & she doesn't give an answer. She just read back to you what the lecture says & agrees to everything. Doesn't use examples, or apply the knowledge for everyday application. Boring, easy & you won't learn anything. You learn most by just reading the book which is hard to fallow sometimes.

Extremely easy grader. Just finish the 7 homework assignments (2-3 page papers) and take the 2 exams. As long as you stay on topic in the papers there is no possible way not to pass. The exams are multiple choice, T/F, fill in the blank (with a word bank), and one essay (which is only to see that you get the major concepts).

Ms. Baker knows her stuff! The class followed the syllabus to a tee and as long as you do the required reading it isn't a terribly difficult class. Tests and homework involve a little writing, which sucks, but she grades pretty easy.

Ms. Baker is a good teacher. She knows her stuff and is very enthusiastic about the material. I found it very helpful to purchase the supplemental text book as the required one was fairly useless. The material is interesting and the class discussions were valid.

Crisp like a snap pea! Was a very enjoyable class. It's one of those classes where you get what you put into it. It's not an interesting class if you bury your head and ignore discussion, but Janel did a great job encouraging discussion while remaining neutral towards all beliefs! Highly recommend!

She seems as if she doesn't know anything. Ask a question, and she doesn't give an answer. I quit going to class after the first test and only showed up for reviews after that. I got an A. If you want a boring, easy A, then take her.

She's REALLY (almost boringly) easy. However, I loved how unbiased she was. When I signed up for 'comparative religions' I thought I was going to get a bunch of "and these idiots believe this, and these fools believe that" etc. Instead she explained only what each religion believed. She didn't try to force any opinon. All facts. So refreshing!

Ms. Baker did an excellent job at presenting the different religions in a mutual way. She had a love for every religion that she taught and was very respectful. Everyone in class agrees that she opened our eyes about several misconceptions that we had when it came to religions. She is very kind, approachable, and truly cares about her students.
