MAT 17C Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

I had his classes for three quarters. He is super helpful. If you know everything of lecture notes, discussion sheets, hw and practice exams, you will get an A easily. I really appreciate him. Dr. Daddel is definitely my favorite professor in UCD. His passion in math makes him a good professor.

MAT 17B Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: B

Friendly and approachable teacher. Good lectures, but follows closely with the book. However, his tests are much more difficult. Attend office hours frequently and requires a lot of effort.

MAT17B Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

HORRIBLE! He seems sweet in lecture, but everything he covers is so basic it won't help on the quizzes or test. The textbook problems he assigns are the quizzes he gives are extremely unrelated. He makes it really difficult to study for his test because he's unreliable. I studied so often and none of it ever reflected in my scores.

MAT 22AL Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

The class was relatively easy, just copy and paste stuff into matlab and turn it in, only thing was that the tutorials online were written poorly so it was hard to understand most of the time. The tutorials were somewhat useful when doing matrices but not really as we did not fully apply the scripts behind the actual matlab in detail. Just basics.

MAT 17B Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

His examples in class aren't like the ones on the test. Also, his practice midterms are nothing like the actual midterms. He did not give out a practice final either and basically told us to study everything we have ever gone over. So overall, pretty hard teacher but nice guy.

MAT 17A CO3 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Really cute man, but his class is extremely hard. The examples he gives in class are nothing like the quizzes or tests. Tests are EXTREMELY hard. I had taken Calculus prior to this class, and learned no new information, yet still ended up with a B. I most definitely do not recommend him.

MAT17A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Dad-Del was very enthusiastic and was very willing to help you learn the material. However his midterms and final exam were extremely hard. Make sure to go to office hours, and study a lot outside of class, even if you took calculus in high school.

MAT 17A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Daddel is my favorite professor, as of now. I never had ANY interest whatsoever in calc, but since taking his class, I've actually found some enjoyment in it... Tests may be difficult, but if you study ALL of the material thoroughly, they're all a piece of cake. Even the final. Just requires you to focus and think outside of the box sometimes.

MAT17A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

This class was pretty hard for me- I have never taken calculus. I thought that he was not very easy to learn from. His tests are hard. I had a friend who practiced the practice test problems and the handouts for the second midterm and got an 88/100. while I studied the homework and got an F. Studied the next midterms practice problems and failed.

MAT 17A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: B

Dr. Daddel is very encouraging and motivates his students to actually learn the material rather than learn just a few problems that could possible be on the exam. His midterms are hard but doable, and his final is killer. If you study the ideal amount you should be fine. Recommended: go to his review sessions and office hours!
