Pretty good lecturer, but his tests are really hard. There are weekly quizzes and there's homework for extra credit. Going to lecture isn't mandatory, but it definitely helps if you go. You have to study really hard to succeed in his class. Would not recommend

Dr. Daddel is a very knowledgeable professor. He truly wants his students to understand the material thoroughly. His midterms and finals weren't too bad. Make sure you study the handouts and the book. Doing the homework also helps.

Very kind and funny old man. He's very good at explaining things in lecture and will often repeat things to make sure you understand. His tests and quizzes weren't impossible, but make sure you study the book and the handouts. Do the homework! He grades them as extra credit at the end. Definitely recommend him.

Super nice guy. Really wants his students to succeed. Will make you work for an A. It is not impossible but you have to put a lot of time into it. Office hours are helpful and doing lots of practice problems. Do homework. It bumps up your grade at the end of the quarter

He is a very kind and likeable professor. He was very patient and helpful when I asked him questions. He gives very hard exams but then tries to offer opportunitites to improve your grade. The final was so hard that I couldn't help smiling the whole time. The mean must be somewhere around 30 percent.

Daddel is a combination of Einstein and your long lost Indian grandpa. Really wants you to succeed, but you have to work for it. Lectures moves very fast, may need to supplement with a workshop and office hours. Sometimes feels like you have to teach yourself the material. Tests are tough and quizzes impossible. Beautiful curve.

As a teacher, he was decent in explaining the material. Wasn't the best, but you can find worse. His tests and quizzes were very very hard. I would say they were pretty unfair. Made quizzes that sometimes he could not explain himself during review session. Generous final grade curve.

OMG he is so hard...I had calc background and it was still tough. He is very interesting and nice, but his tests are total opposite. I would recommend taking him if you don't mind getting a B or C for the class.

Professor D was quite helpful during office hours, but his tests are insanely hard. The final made the midterms look like baby work. Bad curve. He also throws your test out if you look up because he thinks your cheating. I've had bad experience with him, but remember everyone's experience is different.

His tests are predictable- the questions test your understanding of the material well but you are prepared if you go to office hours & review sessions. Truly cares about students understanding the material, taking him again for mat17b.

I took Ap Calc in high school so i know what im doing. I had two midterms and got more than 100% on them (he gives extra credit). definitely study his practice midterms as he uses them as base for his midterms. Funny guy, but i think the tests are too easy for a weeder class(2nd midterm curve is 70%ish, which is kinda high, but he curves 55 to C)

Great teacher! Has a great sense of humor. Sometimes 50 min is not enough to thoroughly cover all material, so definitely go to his office hours! I enjoy going to his class, great sense of humor, great clarity, answers all questions. Tests may be difficult, but if you go to his office hours and study, 100% is possible. Take him!

An extremely helpful, benign senior, a really patient, passionate, and humorous lecturer. It was purely educational experience taking this course. The only complaint is that his lectures are sometimes slightly disorganized, and you often learn more from his handouts than lecture notes.

He is the sweetest guy. He truly cares about his students and in office hours he will go over anything until you understand it. His tests can be sort of long and and relatively difficult but if you study his practice tests and study overall, it shouldn't be that bad. He doesn't do anything out of question. He also curved my grade over 10% to an A.

Online class with straightforward directions. About 1-2 hrs of work a week with matlab. Very easy to pass.

He is a very good professor who definitely knows what he's teaching. His tests are based off of the text book, but they're super hard... You get hw due every other class. Definitely go to his lectures!!

His tests could be challenging. His accent can be confusing, but he is good at lecturing once you get use to it. Lectures are helpful. His quizzes are hard, but luckily they are not a large part of your grade. The extra credit homework is helpful for your grade, so do it.

Very good teacher but very hard! Plenty of examples in class however the tests are a lot harder then what he shows. 3 midterms and quizzes in discussion. I suggest to not take it with him if possible, especially if you have no calculus background.

excellent professor. very helpful. wants you to learn. Very good teacher! Very organized lectures...office hours also help if need further clarification.

Very hard professor. His lectures are understandable and he tries to explain well however, the exams are the material times 100. His quizzes are impossible! The average on every single one during my class was about an 8/20. The TA's this time were terrible. My TA would not answer some questions claiming the process was too long to figure out.
