ENGL374 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Found Susan's Victorian Novel dissapointing. Lacked ability to guide a productive discussion: students veering into vague characterizations+"what if" plot points. When she did reign ppl in her ceaseless repetition of critical persp. (mostly cult. and deconst.) stifled thoughts to generality rather than producing nuanced wholes.OnlyProfIWon'tTake.

Wonderful prof. Discussion based, students really engaged. Asks challenging, interesting questions. Not an English person, but I loved writing papers for her and loved her class.

Several Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Susan is one of the few English profs who changed the way I looked at a text. There were plenty who taught me a lot about English. but Susan's Narative Theory Seminar changed how I read. She loves the work. She tells good stories. I never regreted a class i took with her.
