BIOL 100
The class would have been easier if she had been a little more organized and if she hadn't taken the lazy approach to teaching. I normally get A's in science classes. Outside of class though she is an awesome person and I found out we actually have a lot in common, but I would not recommend her class to anyone.

By far the worst lab teacher I've ever had. She grades with no mercy and it's nearly impossible to get an A in her class. She doesn't tell you anything relevant to the lecture exam. She gives too much homework during exam week. DO NOT TAKE HER. Stick with someone else if you want your grade spared!!!! Worst experience ever it's pretty sad.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about. She allows you to choose your own assignments. You can make this class as hard as easy as YOU want. She knows biology and is an excellent prof. She tries her best to make bio fun and interesting and makes an effort to relate to her students. This class requires a lot, but nothing impossible.

Definitely the worst class ever. So much homework and she preaches about time management yet waits until the last minute to grade. Also she down plays quizzes, but they are a big chunk of the grade yet she hardly lectures on them. Way to much work for non-majors bio don't take it

Really nice, pretty knowledgeable about biology, Easy online tests. The only bad part is this 100 level non majors bio class easily takes up twice as much time as my 5 other 300-400 level classes combined. Take another class, its not worth it.

This class is unorganized. I am an A-B student, even got a B+ in BIO130 which has a lab. Got a C- here. Rachel is unclear and takes a lazy approach to teaching. She does have large knockers though

I really enjoyed this class. Rachel is really passionate and excited about all the labs we did. The class was a lot of fun and i learned an incredible amount.

I LOVED this class. It's true she allows you to use google for online quizzes, but I mostly used the notes I took in class. She is always available to answer any questions you have, is understanding, & is VERY helpful. Yes, there is work, but there are no tests & you get to pick assignments that are interesting to you. Highly recommend this prof.

Absolutely horrible. She forces students to rely on Google rather than her lectures, and she assigns far too many things for a 100-level class. She allows you to pick the majority of the assignments to complete, but there are so many of them it's pointless. Bio 100 should not consume most of my time.

GPA DEATH!!! Dont take her!! STAY AWAY!!!! She was not experienced enough to lead a microbiology lab, I learned NOTHING!! She couldnt even figure out how to separate my two unknown microbes!! HORRIBLE! She lets the class grade final presentations and was NEVER prepared for class. She worried more about setting up Pandora on her laptop than us!

You basically have to be a grad student with extensive knowledge in biology if you want to enjoy this class. Also, as someone else said, tests are a race to find everything on the internet before time runs out. Have fun driving to Ann Arbor for field trips. Or for the adventurous, have fun hiking through Hines Drive on a 20 degree day.

Loved this class and thought the teacher really took the time to explain things. There is a bit of work involved but you can pick what types of assignments you want to do to complete the class. only downside is the 2 field trips you have to do. I work and go to school full time and found it hard to fit this in. Otherwise highly recommended!

Took this class pass/fail, thought it'd be nice and easy. There's no structure and she takes forever to grade things. It's one of those classes where you have to do things on your own time. More work than my 300 and 400 level classes. I feel bad for the kids who took this class for an actual grade.

wow the previous comments were obviously all done by the same person, if you want the truth about this professor, skip over them and read the others, no clarity, no textbook, the tests are online and open book and TIMED, you have no clue where the answers are and bc its timed, you're literally googling all the questions, and don't learn anything

Extremely nice. I had her for lab. She's fun and wants you to learn. Her assignments are weekly and electronic, very easy. Gives extra credit and no quizes :) Highly recommend for lab (Y)

Mrs. Mifsud is a fabulous teacher. She will go the extra mile as long as you do your share in completing her homework assignments and showing interest in class material. This class is not for you if you do not want to do work....there are 5 tests, all of which are open book, 500 points worth of assignments, and a final exam.

Mrs. Mifsud is an absloute amazng teacher! She will got he extra mile for you IF you show interest in the class and IF you do the homework. IF you do not want to do a lot of homework and work, I highly suggest you do not take this course. 5 tests which are open book, 500 points worth of assignments, and a final exam.

The class was a lot of work and she expects you to chose 350 points of the 500 points that you have to do, but if that doesn't work for you, she will help you make a plan. As long as you stick to the plan and study for the tests even though they are open note, there should be no problems. I absolutely loved her class!
