Great professor. She is not necessarily easy, but she is passionate about the subject. You can tell she cares about sociology. Will definitely take another class in the future. You must read the chapters and comprehend her lectures. But, she is there for you with more than acedemic concerns. She could be a little more clear on things, though.

Dr. Taylor is an amazing professor. She is a little intimidating, but if you can get passed that, you will not regret taking her class. The level of education she provides in one semester is priceless. I will always remember her class & what she taught me. I can't say enough about the quality of education you get from her course. Highly recommend.

Dr. Martino-Taylor is one of the most professional and knowledgable professors you can hope to have. Her class is not "easy" but if you put in the effort you will succeed and she will do whatever she can to help you do so. She is fair and straight forward in her questioning so you aren't left guessing if you have do the reading and attended class.

Hard but come to class everyday, take good notes and study them well!! There are two essays and a few group works. Most stuff she lectures are on tests along with random questions on stuff from the book that if you read ten times you still wouldn't get the correct answer. Go into detail on everything, gives points if you know what you're saying.

It was an okay class. She talks a lot and preaches her opinions but it was fine because I agreed with most of them. She does stray away from the projected schedule so you're going to have to do a little reading on your own but as long as you attend class and listen you should do fine. Not a class you can skip and do well in.

Horrible teacher. She expects you to read the entire book without ever talking about 90% of chapters/topics in class. All year long will be her opinion on race & politics. If you disagree with her you will get a C/D she said "how can you possibly think that way?" in regards to my response on a paper. Tell her what she wants to hear and you'll pass.

I couldn't stand this class because I got sick of hearing about her. She loves to talk and half of the time it is bragging about her achievements. She expects students to do work at the same level that she does work, the only problem is that she has a PhD and this is an intro class.

Very knowledgeable and passionate about Sociology and Criminology. If she does repeat her-self is to make sure other students comprehend the material. However, if you attend to every lecture and pay close attention there's no reason to not get an A for the course. Highly Recommend her !!!

Overall, I enjoyed this class. She only assigned one project, two papers, a midterm and a final all semester. The content was very interesting. However, I agree that she loves to hear herself talk, thinks of herself very highly, and basically says the same things over and over all class. She is a pretty easy grader, which was nice.

Ms. Taylor loves to hear herself talk. She says a LOT without saying anything at all. She tries to wear you down so that her 'theories' sink in. She has a very high opinion of herself and constantly boasts of her achievements.

Great Teacher! Make sure you ue all your text books and read the case studies. I would have an A if I had done so. Her class requires a LOT of work, so don't take it when you have sciences or advanced math in the same semester. She has a long history in Sociology. Best teacher STLCC employs!

She'll try to intimidate you at the beginning of the semester, but don't fret about it. She's very nice, slightly strict, but the class is overall not very difficult.
