Hernandez comes off as very hard and mean but he is a really great teacher. He really wants you to respect him and respect the program. It makes you a better nurse. He is a great teacher that you will learn a lot from! Listen and participate and you will do great.

It took me a while to warm up to this guy. But as time went by I realized he wanted us all to succeed. He provides students with many resources to help us pass our tests. He doesn't have to, but he chooses to because he cares. He hasn't been a nurse for too long so he knows exactly how hard the program is. Just study read the material more once.

He is strict & sets deadlines that he expects you to conform to, but he prepares you for what's to come. He may seem intimidating with his military-like demeanor, but he's a good man that can will try to help you. Unfortunately that cannot be said for the professors that follow. Study the book and you'll be set, the book is his bible.

One of the best nursing professors! Content is a lot more difficult than Process I, so do not miss one lecture. Study hard, apply your knowledge, and you will succeed.

He is one of the nicest professors! He truly wants you to succeed! Attend every lecture, be on time to clinical, and read your chapters. It is possible to get higher than a C in nursing school, you just have to put in the effort.

I expected nursing school to be hard, but not this hard. This professor truly wants every student to succeed, but the grade received is EARNED not given. I passed process I and II with C's, but was one of 18 out of 60 students to make it through. This nursing program has proven to be the hardest thing I've done in life to date. Best of luck all

Just finished process 1 and passed with a B. I think he is a really good teacher and does care despite what others say. Attend all lectures and there is your passing grade. His lecture is actually on the test and the rest you need to read people! DO NOT BE LATE FOR CLINICAL DAYS BY EVEN 1 MINUTE!!! Don't say I didn't give you a heads up.

He is a very good instructor. The reason for his poor rating is because he teacher Process I and II.It is common for people to struggle with these classes and then instead of taking personal responsibility, they blame teacher. He truly cares about his students. He is the best clinical instructor in the entire school.Study nonstop and you'll pass.

My worst experience in the college by far. He should never allow teaching. He should just go to his day job or night job as RN. Obviously, not everybody could teach.

Gives No Extra Cedit!!! He will fail you by one point! Had him for NUR1020. Does his own style of questions. Should of did my research on other nursing schools.

Run, run. It is very bad to understand him. He thinks he knows everything. He creates his own questions on the test and uses his own rationale. A lot of people emailed him after each test to clarify his questions. The only good thing about this program is the cost. If you fail more than 5 credits you are out of the program. Go some where else.

Professor Hernandez is very strict, especially when it comes to clinical attendance.Gave extra credit in process 1 & 2.The only issue with this class was he creates the questions on the exams and uses his own rationale.I think its wrong because students study the book, not him.Study like crazy. He has a tendency to test on things he does not cover

It is not his problem to be a bad teacher, people who support him are the responsible for his unprofessionalism. Teachers are not like him. He is very bad professor. It is so SHAME that a person like him is ruinning this program. Send him home.

As I like to say he has no filter, he's very blunt, and that'll make it seem like he doesn't care but he truly does. He looks like he's difficult to approach but he will help you if you need it. He does know the topic really well. He's a good professor, but prepare for the math test, it's not easy. And he's great in lab as well, he knows his stuff.

He pretends to care, but is heartless. He has no sympathy for his students. He does not believe in extra assignments for points, so if you did not do well on one test you're SOL. good luck to those who have no choice to take his class.

Professor Hernandez is a great professor. He challenges his students alot to get us to think critical (what we would do if we couldn't ask for help. Study hard and you will do great.

Unprepared, not true to form on tests. Don't bother to go to class, you can read the slides at home. Class is not mandatory, good thing total waste of money. His phone rings all the time in class, he can't figure out how to put it on vibrate....Need I say more.
