"Big time extra credit" "Tests are tough"

He is heavily involved in his research and often misses class to travel and give talks. Great for him, not for his students. He never posts outlinespractice problems when he says he will. No homework, so you have to perform well on tests. He doesn't post practice tests. He shows up late to his own office hours. Only good thing was extra credit!

"Amazing lectures"

I enjoyed Dr. Jeffrey's class very much. Very clear speaker! He can't spell, but by the end of the semester it becomes a rather endearing idiosyncrasy. It's hard to expect what is going to be on his exams, but if you DO ALL OF THE HOMEWORK and UNDERSTAND it, you will get B's or better on exams. He curves very fairly!

Nice guy, fair about his class. Textbook is great and teaches you well. Do all the practice problems as they are good indicators of what to expect on his test. Pretty good class.

Fair teacher. He's very upfront about what is going to be on a test. It's easy to be prepared for all exams including the final. Attend lecture and review sessions and you won't need the text book other than for practice problems. He gives four hourly exams and a final. The lowest of your hourly exams is dropped.

He is a friendly person but a terrible teacher. He designed his own tests, so the book wouldn't help and his lectures didn't really cover it. His tests were so ridiculous that one time, the ENTIRE class had to retake a test. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Dr. Jeffrey did a great job! He keeps the material fresh and interesting, plus, he's new to teaching, so he still has that post-graduation glow about him. :) He's very approachable and will go out of his way to make sure you understand. I've taken Ochem 3 times, and this time I actually understood stuff. Great guy, good luck!

CHEM341 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This is an extremely hard class (to me it was) and Jeffrey did a wonderful job of helping me get through this. Helpful, approachable, explains things clearly, TONS of office hours, and offers supplementary problems when asked. That being said, do your work & you'll do well. Don't do your work, go to lecture OR read the book, well, good luck to ya.
