He is a pretty cool guy and pretty laid back.He teaches the material straight out of the book. His power points are mainly pictures so its important to stay on top of reading the chapters.Does not give study guides so its hard to study for tests because it could be anything from the chapters. A lot of information to obtain.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. He's a very interesting and likable person. While there is a lot of (hard) material, he makes the material easy to comprehend. I really appreciated his teaching style and loved attending his class!

Collin was prepared and is an experienced teacher - is very by the book on rules and policies - go to every class and stay till the end so you don't miss 'surprise' point opps. Tests were fair, material is extremely dense and alot of extra outside reading/prep is necessary - overall, it was a good (but hard) class and he knows his stuff for sure!

Class was ok, he over lectures to the point of boring, keeps you until the very end of all classes/labs. 5 exams, no cum. final, exams are ok but cover a tremendous amount of material, making it impossible. Plays favoritism with students, secretly allowing some to take exams after the exam date? I don't see how this is fair at all...would not recom

For a Friday night class, Collin was very engaging. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Class isn't easy but if you stay on top if it, it isn't hard.

Material is heavy but very basic. He is extremely helpful and I found his teaching method very easy. As long as you keep up with the material regularly, you will do just fine. I think he is a great teacher.

Very interesting guy. Tests are pretty straightforward and his lectures are good as long as you have some remote interest in the topic. It's a good idea to just look at the chapter before lecture. Even just understanding the diagrams can make lecture easier to understand. More charismatic than most bio profs. Tough material in this class though.

Prof is very clear and direct regarding expectations and requirements for class. Reviews every week were we are and where we're going. Takes time for Q+A class prior to tests. Responds to emailed questions. Final test is NOT cumulative. Conveys an Infectious interest in biology, very informative. Tatoo didn't effect teaching one way or the other.
