Goldberger is a GREAT chem professor. He lectures the material and then does in-class examples which is extremely helpful. He uses ALEKS which is a HUGE bummer but overall he is the best chem professor I had. If I would have tried in his class, I would have gotten a great grade thanks to him.

He uses ALEKS which is a blessing and a curse. The material is really easy but he does try and he really wants his students to succeed. He has fair recitations and is overall a good lecturer. Honestly, I feel like my performance didn't meet my standards due to outside factors, not him. Try and get him if you can.

Take him for 1220! He's one of the instructors who uses ALEKS instead of mastering chem, which helped me learn the material really well. His notes were clear, and he held review sessions before every exam, which weren't terribly confusing or difficult. Without a doubt the best prof to get for 1220.

Dr. Goldberger is my favorite teacher at OSU so far. He is super helpful and makes everything really easy. His exams are not to bad and are extremely fair. I highly recommend you take him if you have the chance.

Much more interested in his own research and travel than teaching the class. I learned what I needed to but could have done without constant mistakes in midterms, practice problems, etc.

Josh is a beast. He is very knowledgeable, and his class is easier than those taught by other professors. Kinetics, solubility, and chemical thermodynamics may appear difficult, but his lectures cover what will be on any exam. Do the homework he assigns! They are excellent practice for the exams.

He went to teach at other schools more than he was there for his own class. He does NOT write his own midterms. My friend was in 1620 (I'm in 1220) and we took the exact same midterm. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE!

Good lecturer but makes many mistakes when doing sample problems/his own midterms. Practice midterms are not like the real midterms, read the book to do well. Quizzes were fair for the most part but he did give quizzes the day after the midterm.Do homework problems assigned. Recitation was a joke, left after the quiz. Watch Fus's videos in addition

He's a nice guy and a good teacher. He tries to keep class interesting with jokes and demos. His carmen page has a lot of resources so use it! Make sure to do all of the practice tests and quizzes before the real thing. The real ones are very similar but with different numbers and chemicals. He's also really helpful during office hours.

He is a very good teacher for 123. His midterms very really easy but his final was challenging. His quizzes are also hard. You really do not need to go to lecture( other than lectures just before the 2 midterms)! Just make sure to go over his lecture notes after it is posted online.

Such a great professor. So nice, great attitude and personality and very available to offer help outside of class. Class is challenging but totally manageable. Definitely recommend printing out powerpoints to take notes on during lecture. Read the book and do practice problems before midterms and final.

I didn't care for Goldberger. He thought he was funny even when he wasn't and made me lose all interest in chemistry.

So funny, very helpful and clear, super nice, and pretty cute. Loved his class, but its really hard because its chemistry. Hated lab, but looked forward to lecture because he was the teacher! Makes a bad class tolerable!

Great professor! He's new, so it'll take some time for his teaching skills to develop. His lectures are really interesting. His quizzes and exams are really difficult, but that's to be expected. He's really nice and incredibly brilliant. Take him if you can!

I thought Dr. Goldberger was wonderful - he was sweet, helpful, and funny. He's new, so he doesn't have the kind of easy teaching skills that established professors have, but he did a great job with his enthusiasm. I actually thought his lectures were interesting, as well, because he had such enthusiasm. I would recommend him!
