FIN 465 481B Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: A

He is (de-facto?) head of the Finance dept. He is passionate abt finance + research, and that shows in his courses. 465 is a research survey course. Requires LOTS of reading. Don't take if you're not truly interested. 481B is practical and detailed and has small classes (3 kids in mine), so attendance is key. I recommend him to any serious student.

FIN465 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Only take a class with him if you are interested in the subject. If that is the class, you will learn a lot. Many times, he is hard to understand, but tries to get you to understand it. He is helpful during office hours. Everyone in the class gets A's and B's, but the amount of work is a lot. Overall, a good professor, but not an easy one.

MGMT505 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

He is Indian with strong accent, boring class, difficult to follow his concept and understand things. He did not want to curve, just made it 1 or 2 points. Try hard, if can, please avoid taking this class. Very hard test, try to practice with old exams. 2 midterms and 1 final. Make you feel like headache. Watch out. Finally got B+

FIN320 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Great teacher! He really wants you to understand the concepts and will assign a lot of reading to make sure you get it. Will deviate from the lesson, but I definitely learned a lot, and if you are serious about it, he is a great teacher. The tests, though tough, are pretty straightforward as long as you study the material.

BUS01 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

He spent the time rambling about irrelevant topics and when it came time for the exams no one knew what to study. After our final he announced that he had taught an entire concept incorrectly, and continued to say that the overall performance on that exam was very poor. He'll help you, but only if you can ever catch him in his office hours.

FINNA Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

He is one of the best profs one can ever have. Strives to explain fundamentals and its application rather than bookish knowledge. Very helpful in/outside the class. Gives a lot of extra readings so students learn financial concepts and current issues beyond textbook. Will be behind your every step if you work hard, will leave you if you don't.

The best if you have the guts to really know strategic finance. This guy works on building instincts - the only ones who do not like his course are dimwits who won't make it too big in finance anyways.

FIN324 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

I don't like finance at all, but he was truly a great professor. He loved the subject matter and treated finance as a science, which is what motivated me to learn. His class wasn't about making money, it was about applying theories to different things in life. It's a shame most other SoM professors make their classes seem like one long sad joke.

probably the worst SOM professor ive seen yet. the man doesnt want to teach, he just wants to ramble for an hour and a half and thats exactly what he does. if you can take this class from some one else, do so. and the textbook is just as bad as he is so you cant even teach the stuff to yourself.

Corp Finance Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

He is great professor not only in class but even outside the class. He give more emphasis on concept than the reading material. His class is tough but I think that is because of course and not him. I throughly enjoyed his class and his class was surely one of my best class and was full of learning.

Best of the best! The man is a genius and will teach you not only about Finance, but about life. Take his class and take advantage of his knowledge. Be ready for crazy hard tests though

fin 311 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

It is pointless to go to lectures since he teaches the exact stuff out of the book in a borring tone, doesnt take attendance, and does give out any hints or tricky questions that might be on the test. If you read a book and do most of the problems at the end of the chapter, u'll get a good grade. His tests are fair.

Not too bad a class in general. Lectures r useless and boring. Went to class almost everytime and dozed off after 20 min of class as many times. Not an easy one. Spend time+Study hard+do exercises in the book and u'll get an OK grade. A- isn't too hard to get.

Your grade is based on 4 Quizzes, 1 Midterm, & 1 Final Exam. You need to know your stuff! Otherwise you're in trouble because the midterm and final exam are very, very difficult. Lectures are interesting, but IRRELEVANT to the exams. You also need to memorize A LOT of formulas for each quiz/exam. Good Luck! Easy C, but DIFFICULT A or A-

I think that if you go to class and have a little luck on the tests, you'll be fine. You're in trouble though, if you do bad on the midterm. I lucked out and got a B (whereas some of my classmates received their first ever C).

Never went to class and I did fine. Takes quizzes straight from the book and tests are curved to help you.
