SOC 1 Taken for Credit:Yes Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Took him during summer intersession. I put in a lot (and I mean ALOT) of effort in this class in order to get that A. I was taking this class while on vacation and it was tough. He doesn't reply to emails ASAP, he grades hard without any feedback, and there's ALOT of reading. Other than that, his extra credit was interesting. Would not recommend.

SOC 1 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Mr.Medina is a great professor! The class is hard but i loved it. Students are required to read and UNDERSTAND the material because the TEST are right off the book. (BUT THEY ARE HARD.) I received a B in his class! His lectures are amazing.... You will love to go to class.. Although attending is NOT required.

His class is not very easy, but he is a nice professor, if your overall only got around 87, he will give you A on your final grade and transcript.

Sociology 1 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

It's basically an online class. Everything is online, but you still have to sit through his classes. His "lectures" are basically on his life, family, & opinions. The online assignments are easy, but he doesn't cover the book at all & that is what the 200 question tests are on. It is basically just teaching yourself & faking your way through.

SOC1 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Even if you don't take his online class, most of his work to do is online. He rambles a lot on NOTHING that was supposed to be the lesson of the day. Made the class learn about 3 weeks later than what the syllabus said where we were supposed to be. He doesn't care if you sleep in class if you have a B. Class was frustrating, but will change you.

Professor Medina is a really nice guy and a dedicated professor. He really loves sociology;however, it was not an easy class. He gives lecture exams and textbook exams. YOU NEED TO READ THE ENTIRE BOOK! I got on A but it was not easy. It took a lot of work. I would not recommend. HONEST TOOOOO MUCH WORK. Exams are online, they are hard, and timed

I found Mr. Medina to be quite helpful, and the work that had to be done for the class was not hard at all. YES, you must read the text book in order to pass the exams. I found the course overall to be quite interesting, made me view society a lot different.

I just finished this online class and received an A, it was really easy. Just don't fall behind and keep up with the readings, also be sure to study well for tests because they are timed. Also do the extra credit LA tour it is really interesting and brings you up 5%. Overall great teacher.

The Online tests are a joke. If you work a lot and don't have time to literally read the whole textbook, then your out of luck, and I wouldn;t go with Medina. His tests are all from the book and really require a lot of studying and memorizing. I love Soc. and I have to re take his class
