People say that this is a great class, but it's not. People say that it's easy, but it's not. Shannon herself doesn't grade, her TA's grade which means not fair grading. I thought this would be an easy elective, but the grading is so unfair. I also got a 50% on a group project that she said was great...

I only had her for 1 semester but overall she was a pretty good professor. As one of the few guys in the class she will jokingly pick on you but its all in good fun and i have to say i did learn a lot in this class. Book use is high, there are a few group assignments but the class isnt too hard if you show up.

Professor Miller is the best professor I have ever had! She is always energized and so excited to be in class with her students, it makes coming to class fun! She assigns readings which you must do, attendance is also necessary, she writes down possible exam questions- write these down! Overall her class is very enjoyable, but you must participate!

Dr. Miller was awesome! She always kept the class entertaining and the class as a whole was easy. She gives you all of the possible quiz questions which are the exact questions on the test. I would recommend writing these down. You have a total of 4 quizzes and zero exams which is awesome. She is a very nice and funny person! I would recommend!!!!

Dr. Miller is the best professor I have had in my life hands down! She makes any topic interesting and her classes are so fun that I literally could not wait to be there. Not only is she extremely helpful in class but she also goes beyond that and tries to know students at the personal level. Great professor, inspiring human being, great mentor A+

Articles and readings from the book are used as tools for instruction and will be on the tests. She gives "Possible Quiz Questions" that can be used to study for the test and are always on the test. You will pass as long as you are involved and take notes, nothing she talks about isn't on the test. Be prepared to move around and have fun!

She is not a traditional teacher. Likes to have class sit in circles. Class participation is a must. Also have assigned reading for each week. There are 2 essay exams, 3 event papers, an interview project, a partner presentation project and a group project. She's really fun and makes the class interesting. Really applies material to real life.
