Alright. Prof Lyon is nice, but she jumps from topic to topic. i'm surprised she is top rated spanish teacher. She doesn't do eye contact. She doesn't answer questions clearly. Coming from acing SPAN1, where the tests were fill in the blanks, her SPAN2 classes requires you to write paragraphs. I pushed myself to learn more in order to pass.

I wish i took her class for span 1. She let you know exactly what is going to be on the test, she review all the homework and class work. She does use the book a lot and she does a lot of group work. There is 1 oral presentation that you have to do in Spanish.

Spanish 2 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Professor Lyon is the sweetest teacher I have ever had in my life. She cares so much for each of her students and wants each of them to succeed. I'm a non-Spanish speaker but learned so much from her class I'm glad I took her class.

Nice teacher and encourages you to succeed. You just need to do all the homework and lab work (in the textbook) and you'll be fine. I averaged a C on the majority of the tests but still received an A in the class because I did all the homework and lab work.

Professor Lyon is a fantastic teacher! She's helpful, so nice, dedicated, entertaining, one of the best teachers I've had! She likes participation and dividing the class into groups to work, but it just makes class fly by. Take her!!!

SPAN2 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Of all of the professors I have had at Mt. SAC, prof. Lyon is the nicest of them all. I can't even picture her being rude or mean. Her class can be a bit boring though. There is HW everyday you attend class. There is also lots of group work so incase you don't like that...

I would recommend her to anyone for Spanish 1: main reason? She is a Russian woman teaching Spanish. She herself demonstrates that Spanish(& any language as a matter of fact) transcends skin colors & ethnicity. She's very helpful & promotes the speaking part of Spanish more than the other 2 professors I've taken. Take her for Spanish 1 if possible!

Shes a good teacher, its kind of interesting to hear Spanish with a Russian accent but she is still very clear and speaks great Spanish. she always has more than enough energy and is always willing to help you. i highly recommend taking advantage of the language lab.

she is very nice. i recommend doing all the homework and get a tutor if you can't do it on your own. class can be slow sometimes but participation is very important to. good luck if you take her class and practice, practice, practice! also communicate with her if you have questions or misunderstandings in the language

Russian teacher who can speak Spanish. I'm a native Spanish speaker but could not tell the difference. do the homework (duh) and ask all the questions you can prior to the tests. at times she can be very boring. the class goes by very slow and that's because she runs out of material to teach so u do Homework.
